October 18, 2014 - David Hawkins was arrested last night by members of the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office where it is alleged that Hawkins committed 2 counts of Injury to a Child.

October 04, 2014 - Raymond Charles Davis, Jr., was arrested yesterday by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to an investigation by the Little Rock Police Department in Little Rock, AR, where it is alleged that Davis committed 2 counts of Capital Murder.

October 04, 2014 - Matthew Oscar Aranda was arrested yesterday by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in El Paso, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Aranda committed Serious Injury to a Child by Omission.

September 16, 2014 - Jesse Santibanez was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX.  An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Santibanez committed Murder.

August 26, 2014 - Edward Nathan Elizondo was arrested this morning by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Corpus Christi Police Department, where it is alleged that Elizondo committed 1st degree Murder.

August 15, 2015 - Christopher Ray Perez was arrested this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Perez committed aggravated kidnapping.

August 12, 2014 - Oscar Zapata was arrested this afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the United States Pretrial Services Office, where it is alleged that Zapata violated the conditions of his bond release.

August 11, 2014 - Moises Trujillo was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Trujillo committed Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

August 06, 2014 - Robert Glen Spears was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Decatur, GA. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Spears committed murder.

July 22, 2014 - Jose Antonio Gonzalez was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Gonzalez committed 1st Degree Murder.

July 09, 2014 - John Bryan Finch was arrested this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Charlotte, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Finch committed 1st Degree Murder.

July 08, 2014 - Robert Carlos Delcid was arrested this evening by the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Delcid committed Capital Murder.

June 20, 2014 - David Malcom Strickland was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Helotes, TX. Arrest warrants were issued for Strickland pursuant to an investigation by the Portland Police Department and Texas Rangers on charges involving Capital Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, and Aggravated Sexual Assault.

May 14, 2014 - Ray Garcia Jr. was arrested this afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Marion, TX. Arrest warrants were issued for Garcia pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department on charges involving Injury to a Child Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

May 12, 2014 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals Service added convicted sex offender and escapee Kevin Patrick Stoeser to its 15 Most Wanted fugitive list today. Stoeser, a former member of the U.S. Army, escaped from the Austin Transitional Center, a residential reentry center (halfway house) in Del Valle, Texas. He was serving the remainder of a 156-month sentence for four counts of child sexual assault and one count of possession of child pornography.

May 05, 2014 - Leonard Madrid was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the United States Pretrial Services Office, where it is alleged that Madrid violated the conditions of his bond release.

May 01, 2014 - Sidney Reed Denbina was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Ft. Worth, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Denbina committed Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

April 04, 2014 - Joe Martinez III was arrested this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Martinez committed 1st Degree Murder.

April 01, 2014 - Luis Murillo Rapalo was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Hollywood, FL. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Rapalo committed 3 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

March 27, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service proudly joins the city of San Antonio in celebrating the birth and life of Cesar Estrada Chavez. This year marks the 18th Annual Cesar Chavez March for Justice. Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist, who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association.

March 07, 2014 - Raul A. Cortez-Cantarero was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Midland, TX. Cortez-Cantarero was wanted by the Leland Police Department in North Carolina for Strong Arm Sodomy, Sexual Assault, Assault by Strangulation and Extortion.

February 20, 2014 - Donnie Lee Griffin II was arrested yesterday by the U.S. Marshals led - Colorado Violent Offender Task Force and the Denver Police Department in Denver, Colorado after a pursuit through an apartment complex. Griffin was being sought by the U.S. Marshals for escape from FCI La Tuna in Anthony, Texas.

February 17, 2014 - Jorge Vasquez Jr. was arrested early Saturday morning by the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Vasquez committed 1st degree murder.

February 04, 2014 - Texavia Rashun Ervin was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Waco. Ervin was wanted on a Capital Murder warrant obtained by the Waco Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit for his involvement in the October 2013 shooting death of Leslie David Lee.

February 04, 2014 - Guillermo Couvier Lugo was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Corpus Christi, TX. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Lugo committed sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by contact, and possession of child pornography.

January 31, 2014 - Allen Moreno Lara was arrested yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in McAllen, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Converse Police Department, where it is alleged that Lara committed continuous sexual assault of a child.

January 30, 2014 - Jared Beyer was arrested yesterday by the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in New Braunfels, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the New Braunfels Police Department, where it is alleged that Beyer committed sexual assault of a child.

January 29, 2014 - Michael Mazel, of Michigan, was arrested yesterday by United States Border Patrol – Tucson Sector and the Arizona Department of Public Safety near Casa Grande, Arizona. An arrest warrant was issued for Mazel after he failed to appear for his court proceedings in Detroit, Michigan.

January 28, 2014 - Yesterday evening, Sergio Navarette was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. The Task Force received information from the U.S. Marshals South West Investigative Team in Albuquerque, New Mexico that Navarette was living in the Midland/Odessa area. Navarette was wanted for Failure to Appear-Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

January 27, 2014 - Johnny Jo Luna was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force  in San Marcos, TX. An arrest warrant was issued for Luna pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, on charges involving the Attempted to Commit Capital Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping, Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, and Felony Criminal Mischief.

January 17, 2014 - Terrance Lamont Davis was arrested yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Bell County Organized Crime Unit and Killeen and Harker Heights Police Departments. In December of 2013, an arrest warrant was issued by the Superior Court of De Kalb County, Georgia charging Davis with murder in the shooting death of Tattoo Artist Andrew Fortune in Lithonia, Georgia.

January 16, 2014 - Yesterday afternoon, Danny Segura was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Maverick County. Segura was wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections for a Violation of Parole. Segura’s original offense was 2nd Degree Murder.

January 16, 2014 - Yesterday afternoon, Bradley Lee Davis was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston. Davis fled from the Midland area in August 2013 from a series of alleged theft charges and for failure to appear in those court appearances.

January 08, 2014 - Gilbert Sanchez was detained by Mexican authorities in Tijuana, Mexico yesterday. Sanchez was presented before an immigration judge, at which time it was determined he did not have status to remain in Mexico. Sanchez was transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals led Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego, California.

January 07, 2014 - Mario Andreas Godinez was arrested today by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force  in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued for Godinez pursuant to an investigation by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office in Greeley, CO, on charges involving attempted murder.

January 07, 2014 - Austin Myles Byrom and Skyler Katherine Burghart were arrested last week by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force in Corpus Christi, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Byrom and Burghart committed 1st degree murder.

December 18, 2013 -  Bruno Keith Carmona was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Dallas, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Adult Probation Office, where it is alleged that Carmona failed to report and absconded from supervision and an additional arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Carmona failed to comply with sex offender registration.

December 17, 2013 - Kathlyn Regina Huff was arrested this evening by the U.S. Marshals Service Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team in Farmington Hills, MI. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where more than 36 years ago Huff was indicted on allegations of attempted murder.

December 13, 2013 - Gino Gambino-Andolini was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the United States Probation Office, where it is alleged that Gambino-Andolini violated the conditions of his supervised release.

December 04, 2013 - Rocky Leandro Orosco was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in New Braunfels, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Orosco committed 2nd degree sexual assault.

December 03, 2013 - Angel Gabriel Aleman was arrested this morning by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Marcos, TX. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to investigations by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Aleman failed to comply with sex offender registration and by the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Aleman failed to appear on burglary and theft charges.

November 22, 2013 - Ernesto Karam-Garcia was removed from the United States yesterday morning and returned to Mexico by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers from San Antonio. Karam-Garcia, who is a Mexican citizen, is wanted in Mexico to face fraud charges.

November 20, 2013 - Jesus Cruz arrested yesterday evening by the United States Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Ft. Worth, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Cruz committed 1st degree murder.

November 13, 2013 - Chrispin Robledo was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX. Arrest warrants were issued for Robledo pursuant to an investigation by the Georgetown Police Department on charges involving assault and aggravated kidnapping.

November 08, 2013 - Murder suspect Efrain Antonio Osorio-Osorio was arrested yesterday in Georgetown, TX without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Osorio was sought by Maryland authorities in 2008 after he was identified by witnesses as the shooter in an altercation involving money purportedly owed to the victim.

November 06, 2013 - Wade Jermaine Banks of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was arrested without incident in downtown Austin by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Banks fled from Baton Rouge after being charged with a battery offense where the victim was brutally beaten, was able to escape, and required hospitalization after sustaining a hairline fracture to her face.

October 31, 2013 - Edwin Tyrone Flagg, of El Paso, was arrested by members of the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday without incident. Flagg was being sought by the El Paso Police Department for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a child.

October 25, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of Immigration & Customs Enforcement, concluded a 10-day operation resulting in the arrest of 30 state felony offenders. “Operation Predator”, a fugitive round-up, comprised of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers, targeted sex offenders with outstanding felony warrants for failing to comply with sex offender registration.

October 25, 2013 - The San Antonio Police Department Gang Unit and the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a 60 day operation known as “Operation Hog Trap” earlier this month. “Operation Hog Trap” was an initiative developed to reduce violent gang crime in the San Antonio area.

October 21, 2013 - Pedro Silva and Samantha Cunningham were arrested last Friday by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Galveston, TX. Arrest warrants were issued for Silva and Cunningham pursuant to an investigation by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office on charges involving aggravated robbery.

September 23, 2013 - David Martinez Maldonado was arrested Friday by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Location and Apprehension Group in Denver, CO. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety, where it is alleged that Maldonado failed to comply with sex offender registration.

September 18, 2013 - Kevin Perez was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Marion, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Perez committed 1st degree murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and 2 counts involving delivery of a controlled substance.

September 04, 2013 - Javier Nino was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Cold Case Squad in San Antonio. An arrest warrant was issued for Nino pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, on 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and 1 count of indecency with a child through sexual contact.

August 30, 2013 - Barry Dewayne Smith was arrested yesterday by the United States Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in Los Angeles, CA. An arrest warrant was issued for Smith, pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, on charges for sexual assault of a child.

August 29, 2013 - Albert Paul Woessner, Jr. was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety in conjunction with the Terrell Police Department and Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office. An arrest warrant was issued for Woessner pursuant to an investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office on charges of prohibited sexual conduct with a child.

August 26, 2013 - Alleged murderer, Alfonso Gomez Quiroz, of Pecos, Texas, was detained by Mexican authorities this past Saturday in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. After further investigation, it was determined that Quiroz did not have status to remain in Mexico and was subsequently deported to the United States at the International Port of Entry in Eagle Pass, Texas.

August 22, 2013 - Ray Hawkins, Jr. was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this afternoon in South Austin without incident. Hawkins was sought by Cherokee County authorities for his alleged involvement in a series of armed robberies of local convenience stores in Jacksonville, TX where firearms were used in the commission of these robberies.

August 15, 2013 - Carlos Eduardo Rios, of El Paso, was detained by Mexican authorities last night in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The U.S. Marshals Service previously developed information that Rios did not have status to remain in Mexico. Rios was transferred to the custody of the United States Marshals Service at the International Port of Entry in El Paso this morning. In July 2011, Rios was arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child for an incident involving two juvenile females.

August 14, 2013 - Christopher Cottrell was arrested yesterday by the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio. An arrest warrant was issued for Cottrell pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession with the intent to distribute LSD and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

July 31, 2013 - Derrick Williams was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Live Oak, TX. An arrest warrant was issued for Williams pursuant to an investigation by the Austin Police Department, where it is alleged that Williams committed aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

July 30, 2013 - Ismely Yaima Fundura was arrested yesterday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in a trailer park community in Lockhart, Texas without incident. Fundura was sought by the Round Rock Police Department in early July for a recent aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

July 23, 2013 - Kenneth Taisipic Muna was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in Twentynine Palms, CA. An arrest warrant was issued for Muna pursuant to an investigation by the Del Rio Police Department, where it is alleged that Muna committed 3 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and 1 count of indecency with a child.

July 18, 2013 - Devin Donell Fields was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Fields committed capital murder.

June 25, 2013 - Rico Torres, of El Paso, Texas, was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals led-Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in Corona, California without incident. Torres was charged by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in 2011 based on allegations that Torres manufactured and delivered controlled substances.

June 24, 2013 - Gustavo Rodriguez-Costilla was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Eagle Pass, TX. An arrest warrant was issued for Rodriguez-Costilla pursuant to an investigation where it is alleged that Rodriguez-Costilla escaped from a Mexican prison while facing charges for possession of firearms and grenades.

June 21, 2013 - Lori Ann Steele was arrested yesterday by the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in Fresno, CA. An arrest warrant was issued for Steele pursuant to an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Steele failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

June 17, 2013 - Brandy Romano and Raymond Romano were arrested this past Friday evening by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston, TX. Arrest warrants were issued for Brandy and Raymond Romano pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Brandy and Raymond Romano committed 2 counts of child kidnapping.

May 31, 2013 - Daniel Rodriguez was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Rodriguez committed theft of a motor vehicle, evaded arrest, and was found in possession of cocaine.

May 15, 2013 - Antoine Johnson was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, where it is alleged that Johnson committed 2nd degree murder.

May 15, 2013 - Shilo Watts was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Washington, D.C. An arrest warrant was issued for Watts pursuant to an investigation by the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Watts committed aggravated sexual assault of a child.

May 15, 2013 - Juan Villa, was arrested by the St. Louis Metro Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team Fugitive Task Force in St. Charles, MO without incident. Arrest warrants were issued alleged that Villa committed indecency with a child by sexual contact, deadly conduct by discharging a firearm, and failure to comply with sex offender registration.

May 07, 2013 - Today the U.S. Marshals Service concluded Operation Guardian, a three-year, national initiative specifically targeting the country’s most dangerous noncompliant sex offenders. Deputy marshals and law enforcement partners arrested 345 individuals who had failed to register with state authorities as required by law.

April 19, 2013 - Gwen Komahcheet and Juan Gabriel Garza were both arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Eagle Pass, TX in 2 separate cases. An arrest warrant was issued for Komahcheet where it is alleged that he violated the conditions of his state parole by failing to comply with his requirement to register as a sex offender. An arrest warrant was also issued for Garza where it is alleged that he committed 1st degree murder.

April 04, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce that an abducted child from Robertson County, TX, was found near Silver City, NM. In August 2012, Brian Keith Moore and Madeline McCartney-Moore abducted their biological child during a court ordered week long visitation.

March 18, 2013 - Antonio Gonzales was arrested this evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio. An arrest warrant was sought by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Gonzales committed 3 counts of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, 2 counts of aggravated assault, 1 count of driving while intoxicated, and 1 count of evading arrest with a vehicle.

March 03, 2013 - Ronnell Williams was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in Dallas, Texas without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the San Antonio Police Department, where it is alleged that Williams committed 1st degree murder.

February 26, 2013 - Joseph Daniel Krueger was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Blanco, Texas without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Texas Department of Public Safety, where it is alleged that Krueger violated the conditions of his state parole.

February 26, 2013 - Frank Wainen was arrested Sunday morning by the New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the New Braunfels Police Department, where it is alleged that Wainen committed interference with child custody, by kidnapping his 8 month old son.

February 22, 2013 - Justus Hendershot was arrested earlier this week by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), where it is alleged that Hendershot committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

February 14, 2013 - Christina Avalos was apprehended by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force late Wednesday night. Avalos was wanted by the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) for injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury. Avalos was taken into custody at the El Paso Del Norte Port of Entry and subsequently booked in to the El Paso County Detention Facility.

February 07, 2013 - Boris Augusto Alvarado was arrested by the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force upon his arrival into the Miami International Airport. Alvarado was the subject of a fugitive investigation undertaken by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in 2005 when Alvarado failed to maintain his sex offender registration.

January 30, 2013 - Anna Marie Rezendes and Donald Willis were arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office in Oshkosh, WI, where it is alleged that Rezendes abducted her 2 year old daughter, Oceana Northup, and committed interference with child custody. Willis had an arrest warrant for allegedly violating the conditions of his probation.

January 29, 2013 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a one day operation resulting in the arrest of 27 state felony offenders. “Operation Kestrel”, a fugitive round-up, comprised of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers, targeted approximately 55 fugitives with outstanding felony warrants. The operation was a collaboration of over 60 law enforcement officers from 25 various agencies that sought after fugitives residing in San Antonio, Castroville, Devine, Hondo, Lytle, Natalia, and Pearsall.

January 25, 2013 - James Troy was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, TX without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office in Tucson, AZ, where it is alleged that Troy committed 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor under 15 years of age.

January 24, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Victor De La Torre-Rodriguez, of El Paso, TX early this morning without incident. De La Torre was arrested on a provisional arrest warrant from Mexico for the charge of homicide.

January 23, 2013 - Gregg Michael Scott was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Texas Department of Public Safety, where it is alleged that Scott failed to comply with sex offender registration.

January 18, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service proudly joins the nation in celebrating the birth and life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK). Congress passed the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday and Service Act on August 23, 1994, which designated the holiday as a national day of volunteer service.

January 18, 2013 - Irene Rose Rubio was arrested this evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the United States Marshals Service, where it is alleged that Rubio provided false and fraudulent statements during an investigation.

January 17, 2013 - Nicholas Saldana was arrested this evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. Arrest warrants were sought by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Saldana committed aggravated assault and first degree murder.

January 17, 2013 - Joseph Krist III was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force near Garner State Park in Concan, TX without incident. Krist was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service on an arrest warrant issued by the U.S. District Court in San Antonio, where it is alleged that he violated the conditions of his supervised release.

January 16, 2013 - Adrian Casares was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. Arrest warrants were sought by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office in Nebraska, where it is alleged that Casares committed terroristic threats and the use of a firearm to commit a felony.

January 10, 2013 - On Saturday, January 5, 2012, Guillermo Ulloa was deported from Mexico by Mexican law enforcement personnel and was taken into custody by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Ulloa, wanted on 11 felony counts for sexual exploitation of a child by Maricopa County, was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and is pending extradition proceedings back to Arizona.

January 09, 2013 - Derrick Mascus, of Minneapolis, Minnesota was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this afternoon without incident in north Austin. Mascus recently arrived to the Austin area after Minneapolis authorities charged Mascus with 1st and 3rd Degree Sexual Assault.

January 09, 2013 - Scotty Antoine, of New Iberia, Louisiana was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this afternoon without incident in Round Rock, Texas. Antoine recently arrived to the Austin shortly after the first of the year after New Iberia authorities charged Antoine with 1st Degree Robbery.

January 07, 2013 - James Anthony Rubio was arrested this evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Bandera, TX without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety, where it is alleged that Rubio failed to comply with civil commitment requirements, failed to comply with sex offender registration, and committed a sex offense.

December 20, 2012 - Raymundo Rodriguez, of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF).  Rodriguez was arrested without incident and charged with a federal violation of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

December 13, 2012 - Pedro Javier Quintero, of San Marcos, was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this morning in San Antonio without incident. Quintero fled from his jury trial in Caldwell County last week in Lockhart. The trial continued with his absence resulting in a guilty verdict and a 48-year state prison term.

December 11, 2012 - Joe Frank Corder, Jr. was arrested by Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this afternoon in Wimberley without incident. Corder fled the Satellite Prison Camp in Bastrop, Texas on November 2, 2012 in a prison vehicle later recovered in San Marcos, Texas.

December 06, 2012 - Brandon Dominic Showers was arrested without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Austin, TX.  Showers was sought on felony warrants from the St. Clair Shores Police Department and the Clinton Township Police Department in Detroit. It is alleged by criminal complaint that Showers was charged as a suspect in two Detroit area Cash-n-Go robberies where Showers is alleged to have used a firearm in both crimes.

December 05, 2012 - Lisa Guerra-Romo was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. Arrest warrants were sought by the San Antonio Police Department, Family Violence Unit, where it is alleged that Guerra-Romo committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and endangerment to a child.

December 04, 2012 - Leslie A. Lloyd, of Binghamton, NY was arrested without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Austin. Lloyd was the subject of a sex abuse investigation by the Binghamton Police Department in upstate New York. The allegations are based upon a complaint alleging Lloyd engaged in Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree in the City of Binghamton where he subjected a female less than nine years old to sexual contact.

December 03, 2012 - Lloyd Lester Gibson, III was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident near the intersection of Oltorf and South Congress after several days of surveillance. Gibson was sought by the Fort Worth Police Department for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for violating the conditions of his parole.

November 26, 2012 - The United States Marshals Service in El Paso will graduate students from their 2012 Citizens’ Academy at 6:00 P.M., on November 28, 2012, at the Albert Armendariz Sr., United States Courthouse, 525 Magoffin in El Paso. Robert R. Almonte, United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas will preside over the evening’s graduation.

November 13, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service, San Antonio Division, hosted and graduated its first ever United States Marshals Service Citizens’ Academy. U.S. Marshal Robert Almonte for the Western District of Texas invited 10 citizens from the San Antonio community to participate in this 6 week inaugural class. The purpose of the Citizens’ Academy was to provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the U.S. Marshals Service and the exciting missions with which it is involved.

November 07, 2012 - Jose Velez was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Velez committed first degree murder.

October 24, 2012 - Jimmy Ray Owen was arrested early yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, where it is alleged that Owen committed aggravated assault against a public servant.

September 23, 2012 - The Texas Regional Advisory Board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, sponsored their annual gala Saturday evening at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, TX. Nicholas Rose, Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, San Antonio Division, was the recipient of the 2012 Texas Children’s Hero Award.

September 17, 2012 - Anthony Donell Roberts was arrested last Friday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was sought by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Roberts committed first degree murder.

August 29, 2012 - Jose Armando Vega, of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Vega, wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was located and taken into custody without incident in El Paso, Texas.

August 24, 2012 - Eddie Garza Jr., was arrested yesterday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Board of Pardon and Parole, where it is alleged that Garza violated the conditions of his parole. Earlier this month, Garza was a featured fugitive during “Operation Heatwave.”

August 24, 2012 - Latray Whitley was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Division, where it is alleged that Whitley committed first degree murder.

August 20, 2012 - Robert Almonte, the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, will deputize the two children who have been selected as honorary coaches for this year’s Guns ‘N’ Hoses baseball tournament hosted by Candlelighters of El Paso. The U.S. Marshals Service is among the agencies participating in the annual tournament to raise money for the organization.

August 10, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a week long operation resulting in the arrest of 186 federal and state felony offenders. “Operation Heatwave”, a fugitive round-up, comprised of city, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers, targeted approximately 350 fugitives with outstanding felony warrants. As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, the 186 arrests lead to the clearance of over 200 warrants. “Operation Heatwave”, a collaboration of over 90 law enforcement officers from 16 various agencies.

August 09, 2012 - Samuel Hurd III was arrested this afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at a local YMCA in San Antonio without incident. An arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court in Dallas, where it is alleged that Hurd violated the conditions of his bond previously set by the Court.

August 08, 2012 - Matthew Mallory, a convicted sex offender, entered a plea of guilty earlier this week to 4 counts of child abuse by intentional infliction of mental injury, before an Oklahoma District Court Judge in Kingfisher County. In April 2011, authorities in Oklahoma issued an arrest warrant for Mallory who was captured by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio.

August 02, 2012 - Efrain Vengas of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF). Venegas was featured on the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department’s Manhunt Monday program on July 30, 2012. Venegas had 6 outstanding warrants for his arrest the most serious being Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

July 25, 2012 - Anselmo Rodriguez is the target of a fugitive investigation by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after he fled while on bond, awaiting sentence by a Bexar County Judge. Rodriguez was found guilty on allegations involving continuous sexual abuse of a child and sentenced in absència to a term of life in prison.

July 24, 2012 - Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Trinidad Diaz Mermella in central Odessa. Mermella was listed on the Texas Department of Public Safety’s website as one of the “Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives", and currently wanted for a parole violation.

July 12, 2012 - Marshall Aponte was arrested early this morning at a gas station in San Antonio, without incident. Aponte was sought by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after an arrest warrant was issued by the San Antonio Police Department, Robbery Task Force Unit. Aponte is suspected to be linked to 5 recent gas station robberies.

July 07, 2012 - Edmond Muhlenberg was arrested this week at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, without incident. Muhlenberg was the target of a fugitive investigation by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after he fled while under investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. Muhlenberg was indicted on allegations involving super aggravated sexual assault of a child.

June 27, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan Pedro Solis at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry. Task force members had been communicating with him while he was in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and were able to convince him to surrender. Solis was wanted for indecency with a child, possession of cocaine and driving while intoxicated.

June 22, 2012 -  Today April Cardoza of El Paso, Texas was arrested by the United States Marshals Service. Cardoza has been a fugitive since March, 2011, when a federal arrest warrant was issued for Racketeering Activities, which included multiple instances of violent crimes.

May 21, 2012Luis A. Munoz, originally of El Paso, Texas was arrested today after 22 years as a fugitive. Munoz was originally arrested in 1989 by DEA for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine out of the Northern District of Illinois – Chicago Division.

April 27, 2012 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force concluded a week long operation that resulted in the arrests of 181 federal and state felony fugitives. Operation Sandstorm II targeted approximately 300 individuals with outstanding felony warrants. As of 8:00 AM this morning the arrests of the 181 subjects resulted in the clearance of 335 warrants. Operation Sandstorm was comprised of over 80 law enforcement officers from 11 different agencies.

March 13, 2012 - David Robert Wampler was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in downtown Austin.  Wampler was indicted in January of this year by a Livingston County Grand Jury in Geneseo, New York with a twenty-one (21) county indictment alleging criminal acts involving rape, injury to a child, and providing dangerous drugs to children.

December 20, 2011 - As her toys were unloaded from the cart onto the conveyor belt, 7-year-old Jackie Vasquez said there was only one word to describe her shopping experience: “fun!” "I didn't sleep at all last night, and I got up early today to get ready," she said dancing near the checkout lane at Target. Jackie was one of 40 children in crisis situations who was given the chance to go shopping with a law enforcement officer in the sixth annual Shop with a Cop.

December 13, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the addition of the Kyle Police Department to its fugitive hunting team. Announcing the latest agency to the task force, United States Marshal Robert R. Almonte of the Western District of Texas was on hand at the department’s headquarters to welcome Chief Jeff Barnett to its premier fugitive hunting team.

December 02, 2011 - Paul Coe White of San Antonio was arrested by U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, in Houston, Texas. White was wanted by the San Antonio Police Department for Robbery, Narcotics and Evading Arrest.

November 30, 2011 - Anthony Allen Ruston, of St. Paul, Minnesota was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force today just outside San Antonio. Ruston was wanted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department. This Failure to Register charge stems from two previous convictions for Sex Crimes involving females under the age of 13.

November 04, 2011 - Austin, TX - The U.S. Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas concluded a ten-week operation, dubbed Operation LASSO (Lockup And Secure Sex Offenders) as part of an ongoing emphasis investigating and locating fugitives charged with a myriad of sexual related offenses, crimes against women and children. Operation LASSO, a focused apprehension effort involving city, county, state and federal law enforcement officers spanning the Western District of Texas with operations centered in Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Del Rio, Alpine, Pecos, Midland and El Paso.   Operation LASSO - San Antonio

October 19, 2011 - The Hondo Police Department and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF), arrested Leonardo Rivas, a suspect in the fatal shooting of Felix Flores and the wounding of another in San Antonio this morning without incident.  His brother, Michael Anthony Rivas, is currently sought by the Task Force as his current whereabouts are unknown.

October 06, 2011 - Dustin Paul McFall was apprehended last night in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico by the Tamaulipas Ministry of Public Safety (Secretaria De Seguridad Publica) and quickly turned over to Mexican Immigration authorities. Judicial authorities in Nuevo Laredo determined McFall had no legal status to remain in Mexico and was expelled shortly before midnight at the US/Mexico Port of Entry in Laredo.

October 04, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Lee Roy Suarez. Suarez was wanted by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office for the homicide of Diego Saenz and aggravated assault of his brother, Vicente Saenz.

October 03, 2011 - Emmanuel Matthew “Manny” Mendoza was expelled from the Republic of Mexico at the El Paso Port of Entry into the hands of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force after an international investigation culminated in Mendoza’s detention by Mexican authorities in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Mendoza, a documented member of California’s West Side Tracy Nortenos street gang, was sought by law enforcement since his involvement in the botched robbery and subsequent murder of Kevin Prater II.

October 03, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce the addition of the Buda Police Department to its fugitive hunting team. Announcing the latest agency to the task force, United States Marshal Robert R. Almonte of the Western District of Texas states, “the citizen’s of Buda will benefit immensely knowing that Chief Bo Kidd will have ready access to a task force of experienced law enforcement professionals to draw upon should the need arise.”

September 30, 2011 - A U.S. Marshals fugitive task force from Orlando, Florida arrested Midland murder suspect Christopher Hill at a motel in Sanford, Florida on Thursday, September 29th. On September 18th, Midland Police responded to a shooting on north Weatherford Street and found 28 year old Jeremy Johnson dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

September 13, 2011 - Andre Carrdale Underwood, of Birmingham, Alabama, was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in north Austin. Underwood was apprehended without incident after information received from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Montgomery, AL indicated Underwood recently fled after he failed to appear for a recent court hearing involving pending sexual abuses charges against a child.

August 10, 2011 - Abraham Moya Ortiz, whose last known address was in the Del Valle area, was arrested this morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force near the intersection of Tinnin Ford Rd., and Riverside without incident. Ortiz was sought by Bastrop County authorities last month for his alleged involvement with the continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first degree felony in Texas.

July 15, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Carlos Mireles Jr. Mireles has previous arrests for drug possession, resisting and evading arrest, burglary of a vehicle, family violence, assault causing bodily injury, injury to a child/elderly/disable with intent to cause bodily harm. In October 2010, Carlos Mireles was arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

July 12, 2011 - John Everett Fitch, III was apprehended last night at a local motel in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico by the Tamaulipas Ministry of Public Safety and quickly turned over to Mexican Immigration authorities. Judicial authorities in Nuevo Laredo determined that Fitch had no legal status to remain in Mexico and was expelled shortly after midnight at the Port of Entry to the welcoming handcuffs of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Laredo, Texas. Fitch was charged with failing to appear last month after he fled from his own jury trial in San Marcos, Texas. Fitch was charged with Indecency with a Child.

July 12, 2011 - Ernesto Hinojos was arrested yesterday without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Hinojos was the target of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation and was subsequently indicted by a federal grand jury for his role in a Conspiracy, alleging his possession with intent to distribute approximately 3000 pounds of marijuana and over 5 kilograms of cocaine.

July 07, 2011 - Arthur Jeffrey Martinez, of Midland, was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident in north Austin. Martinez was sought by Midland authorities after Martinez was identified as a shooter in a June 30th incident whereby Martinez was alleged to have discharged multiple rounds at a vehicle subsequent to a verbal altercation. Martinez discharged his weapon from within his vehicle towards the victim sending the vehicle out of control after the driver was hit.

June 22, 2011 - Brian Anthony Engleton was arrested on Friday, June 17, by the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident.  Engleton was sought for the alleged murder of his wife by the EPPD. The previous day, Engleton was engaged in a physical confrontation with his wife Deidre Engleton outside of her locally owned beauty salon. Deidre later succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the chest and neck area at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

June 05, 2011 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force sponsored by the United States Marshals Service is announcing the arrest of Mark Anthony Gonzalez. Mark Gonzalez was charged by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) for the capital murder of Bexar County Deputy Sheriff, Kenneth Vann.

May 18, 2011 - Calvin Henderson of Winona, TX was arrested early this morning without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.  Henderson was arrested at approximately 6:30 a.m., in Caldwell, Texas in rural Burleson County. Task Forces officers were made aware of Henderson’s presence by the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force in Tyler after information received in Tyler indicated Henderson had fled the Tyler area after he became aware of recent warrants for violating his requirement to register as a sex offender.  Henderson’s failure to comply with his registration requirement, a condition of parole after he was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, subsequently caused state authorities to issue the parole warrant.   

May 13, 2011 - Vern E. Houston, of Corpus Christi, was arrested last night without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Austin, TX.  Houston, a registered sex offender and transient was recently placed on the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office, Top 10 Most Wanted. Houston was wanted for a series of burglaries in the Nueces County area. Information provided to the Austin based task force indicated Houston was traveling with a carnival that recently arrived in Austin.

January 31, 2011 - On Friday, January 28th, the Midland Crime Stoppers hosted its annual award luncheon at the Petroleum Club for local law enforcement officers who have made significant contributions toward the safety of the community. Officers receiving awards this year represent the Midland Police Department, Midland Sheriff’s Office, Midland Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
