THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ARRESTS GEORGIA MAN
FOR ASSAULTING HIS MOTHER

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio – The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the San Antonio Police Department SWAT and Repeat Offender Program arrested Georgia resident Mario Villareal late last night.

According to a complaint filed in Georgia, Mario Villareal assaulted his mother over the course of the night of March 29, 2007. She was finally able to escape the residence at about 7:00 a.m. and drove to a Wal-Mart where she fell asleep. She awoke about 3:00 p.m. and called her daughter for assistance. Her daughter took her to the emergency room for treatment. The woman had multiple bruises and lacerations over her entire body. She stated to police the injuries were due to her son punching and kicking her. Villareal repeatedly told his mother he was going to kill her. Villareal then fled the area.

On July 30, 2007, the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force developed information that placed Villareal in San Antonio. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) was then contacted for assistance. LSFTF members established surveillance in the 14000 block of Lookout Road. Villareal was subsequently located in a residence on Lookout Road and taken into custody without incident.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “Any person that would abuse his own mother like this has no business walking the streets of San Antonio or any community.”
