December 19, 2012 -
Taquann Rashea Morrison was arrested in New York by the U.S. Marshals New York
New Jersey Regional Task Force and New York City Police Department. Morrison is
the third arrest in a Murder Case from Orangeburg County. Terrance Johnson,
Rodsheen Ayer, and Morrison have all been charged with: Murder, Attempted
Murder, and Aggravated Assault for a September 10, shooting leaving one person
dead and two other injured on Maedrine Street in Orangeburg.

November 30, 2012 -
Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Task Force,
arrested Charles “Chucky” Vandyke, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Vandyke is sought by the
Garden City Idaho Police Department for the pending charges of Lewd and
Lascivious Acts with a Minor dating back to July 24.

November 02, 2012 -
John Henry Mauldin of Greenville was wanted by the Greenville County
Sheriff’s Office for a warrant issued on March 15 for Failure to Register as a
Sex Offender and the Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services for a
probation violation warrant issued March 28. Mauldin had been on the lam since
January when he failed to report for a scheduled meeting with his probation
officer. Mauldin also failed to meet his lifetime sex offender registration
requirement with Greenville County as required in March.

Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshal led fugitive task force for South
Carolina, will be highlighted, as well as some of its fugitive and sex offender
arrests.

August 10, 2012 -
Lamonte Hill was located and taken into custody by Operation
Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task
force, on Friday morning at a friend’s home on Hidden Pines Road in
Columbia. Hill is wanted in connection with the stabbing and
shooting death of Brian Bloomfield on June 11.

June 07, 2012 - Anthony
Scott Ebersole was arrested by the U.S. Marshals at a camp ground in Crescent
City, Florida late yesterday afternoon. Ebersole has been on the run from the
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department since March 1, when he failed to register
as a sex offender as required.

For the last 13 days Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, has proven the
cooperation with state and local agencies can bring wanted men to justice.
Starting with the most recent arrest of Laquiz Irby on March 21, OPIN has
assisted the Anderson Police Department since December 16, 2011 in tracking Irby
to Atlanta, GA and back to the upstate area where he was ultimately apprehended.

March 14, 2012 -
Phillip Houston McBride was arrested by the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force,
Operation Intercept. McBride escaped from the Marion Adjustment Center located
in Marion County Kentucky on Friday March 9. McBride was being held at the
Marion Adjustment Center for Manufacturing Methamphetamine charges and other
criminal misconduct cases.

February 01, 2012 - The
U.S. Marshals announce the arrest of Tabias Lorland McFadden in Grovetown, GA.
McFadden has been eluding police since August 20, 2011 when warrants were issued
by Florence County Sheriff’s Department after he was allegedly involved in a
shooting incident to include charges of two counts Attempted Murder, one count
of Firing a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, one count of Discharging firearm
into vehicle, and one count of Armed Robbery.

Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force announce the
arrest of Darius Montrez Ings in a Marshalls Department store located in
Deerfield Beach, FL. Ings is wanted in connection with a homicide warrant from
Hartsville Police Department, stemming from a shooting incident on July 21,
2011.

January 20, 2012 -
Lamont Deshawn Terry was arrested by Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S.
Marshals fugitive apprehension task force, today after receiving a request from
the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) in Washington, DC. Terry
is the alleged shooting suspect of Chet Hunter Matthews stemming from an
incident on May 26, 1992 in East Potomac Park, Haines Point area of Washington,
DC.

January 20, 2012 -
Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force
arrested Gonzales Wardlaw AKA: “Snoop” after receiving a tip from Crimestoppers
at an apartment complex in Columbia. Wardlaw was sought by the Columbia Police
Department for the Murder of Thomas T. Hoefer on December 29, 2011 at the Olive
Garden Restaurant in Harbison.

December 22, 2011 -
The U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) fugitive task force announces the
arrest of Jonathan Nathaniel Golden in a local hotel on Wednesday. Golden along
with four other inmates escaped from the Elmore County Jail in Wetumpka, Alabama
on December 14. Golden went on crime spree from Alabama to South Carolina to
include stealing a car with firearms inside and fleeing the area.

Eric Joe Cabrera, also known as “Chico the Mexican”, was arrested as he exited a
Greyhound Bus in the wee hours of Saturday morning by Alice Police Department in
Alice, TX. Cabrera had been residing in the Columbia area and is associated with
the “Crips” gang.

December 13, 2011 -
The U.S. Marshals from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia along with
Greenville, Spartanburg, and Pickens County Sheriff’s Deputies, Greenville and
Mauldin Police Officers, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED)
completed a successful Sex Offender Community Compliance operation (SOCC) in the
upstate during the week of December 5. Operation SOCC targeted 656 active sex
offenders being monitored by Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and verified 628
listed offenders.

Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension task force
arrested Laquane Barry Curry before sunrise this morning. Curry is wanted by the
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department in Fayetteville, NC for Failure to
Register as a Sex Offender and by the NC Department of Community Corrections for
five outstanding Probation Violation Warrants stemming from Sexual Battery and
Assault charges.

the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (NFIST) working together jointly
announce the location and apprehension of Ricky Hewins Mack at an apartment
complex off of Elm Drive in Las Vegas, NV during the early afternoon Thursday.

made up of Deputy U.S. Marshals and officers with the Pickens, Greenville,
Spartanburg, and Anderson County Sheriff’s Offices, Greenville City Police,
SLED, alongside Deputy US Marshals from the Appalachian Fugitive Investigative
Strike Team (AFIST) in Asheville, NC and Asheville Police, announce the location
and apprehension of Tavish Yeargin, Kayla Williams, and Nyia Utsey at a hotel
off of Old Haywood Rd in Asheville, NC late Wednesday evening.

12, 2011 - Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S. Marshals fugitive
apprehension task force announces the arrest of Attempted Murder suspect Tyshon
Demontrea Johnson at an apartment complex in Hillsborough, NC. Johnson has been
the suspect of an Attempted Murder Charge warrant issued by the Orangeburg
County Sheriff’s Office for the shooting incident which gravely injured Isaac
Hammond.

12, 2011 - Spencer Lewis McDaniel AKA: “Stone” has been on the run since
October 18, 2010 for the fatal shooting death of Germaine Brown off of Walnut
Street in the Five Points area of Columbia. McDaniel was named as the alleged
shooter and fled the Columbia area as investigators flooded the city in search
of him. However, today he was arrested by the Miami Beach Police Department
without incident.

July 21, 2011 - On
July 19 & 20, U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) fugitive apprehension
task force, Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), FBI, the South Carolina
Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Richland
County Sheriff’s Department, Sumter Police Department, and Columbia Police
Department joined forces to “Shine the Light” on Registered Sex Offenders and
violent fugitives. OPIN and agents from all offices represented began
Operation Surefire with 158 sex offenders and 10 violent fugitive warrants
wanted for various felonies to include: Marquel Joel Gadson AKA: Bushwick for
Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery.
May 27, 2011
- Early this morning Operation Intercept (OPIN), the U.S.
Marshals fugitive apprehension task force, arrested Travis “Baby”
Golston at a gas station on Greystone Boulevard in Columbia.
Golston was wanted in connection with five warrants for Grand
Larceny of Motor Vehicles and two counts of Criminal Conspiracy
stemming from a month long theft spree of vehicles from Lexington
Medical Center.

Operation Intercept (OPIN) the U.S. Marshals led fugitive apprehension task force
arrested three fugitives within the last 24 hours stemming from requests from
the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SRFTF) in GA, Capital Area Task
Force (CARTF) in Washington, DC, and the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF)
in Gainesville, FL.

May 13, 2011 -
The U.S. Marshals located and apprehended Carlos Luis Pinelas-Mejia
in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. Pinelas-Mejia has
been wanted in connection for the alleged homicide of Amber Marie
Schiavone since January 2008. Pinelas-Mejia lived in the Cherry
Grove Apartments in Rock Hill where the victim’s body was
discovered.

- Henry Martin Gunnells, Jr. was arrested by the U.S. Marshals led
fugitive task force, Operation Intercept (OPIN), before sunrise off
of Pooles Mill Road in Swansea, SC. Gunnells was sought by the
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office for Assault & Battery High &
Aggravated Nature.

April 14, 2011
- Alfonda Jamison, AKA: “Big Al” of Orangeburg, SC was arrested by
Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshals fugitive led task force at
788 Sprinkle Avenue on Wednesday April 13. Jamison was sought on a
Federal Arrest Warrant for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and
Marijuana.

April 14, 2011
- Anthony Joseph Jennings AKA: “Tony” was taken into custody on
Wednesday April 13, 2011 by Operation Intercept, the U.S. Marshals
fugitive led task force at a Tire Shop located on North Kings Hwy.
Jennings is a suspect in four bank robberies that have occurred in
the Myrtle Beach area since February. The most recent bank robbery
occurred at the BB&T on Hwy. 501 in Conway, SC on April 4.

March 09, 2011
- On February 25, the U.S. Marshals Service concluded a month
long operation in upstate South Carolina targeting sex offenders.
Operation Shadow was a U.S. Marshals sponsored fugitive initiative
to apprehend fugitives wanted for Sexually Based Offenses.
Operation Shadow utilized the expertise of the U.S. Marshals
specially trained Sex Offender Investigators who aided state and
local agencies in locating and apprehending these wanted
individuals.

February 16, 2011
- U.S. Marshals announce the capture of Jonique Diguel
Merriweather, who was wanted in connection with a homicide that
occurred earlier in the week. According to investigators with the
Jackson Police Department the victim, Michael Bates, was killed on
Sunday when he sustained a single gunshot wound while driving his
car on a local Jackson street. An Arrest Warrant was issued on
February 14, 2011 charging Merriweather with First Degree Murder in
connection with the shooting.

February 14, 2011 - U.S. Marshals led
Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and
Mullins Police Department officers arrested Barbara Edwards AKA: Barbara Longwell and Leonard Hamrick
in Mullins, SC. Edwards and
Hamrick are wanted on Fugitive Warrants from the Nicholas County Sheriff’s
Office in Summersville, WV for Child Concealment Charges stemming from a missing
child case on December 21st, 2009.

January 07, 2011
- Tyrone Haynes was arrested by U.S. Marshals and the Florence
County Sheriff’s Office, after almost a year on the run. Haynes is
charged by the Commonwealth of Philadelphia with 10 different
allegations, which include rape, burglary, sexual assault, and false
imprisonment. The charges arise from a January 2010 incident where
Haynes allegedly broke into an apartment off of Jackson Street in
Philadelphia, then beat and raped the occupant, leaving her in
critical condition for several days.

January 05, 2011
- Ashley Patterson, 24, and Cortney Leach, 22, of Greensboro,
North Carolina, were arrested in a collaborative effort amongst
North Carolina, South Carolina, and local partnered agencies on
Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Both Patterson and Leach are
charged by the Greensboro Police Department with attempted murder,
robbery with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon.

December 22, 2010
- Daniel Luberda was arrested yesterday by the U.S. Marshals and
the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in Conway, South
Carolina. Luberda is charged by the Horry County Sheriff’s Office
with two counts of bank robbery, stemming out of two separate bank
robberies that took place earlier this month in Little River and
Conway.

December 17, 2010
- A Mexican drug trafficking organization with ties all
over the southeastern United States has been brought to its knees by
the diligent investigative efforts of the Drug Enforcement
Administration, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals.
Pedro Ochoa and Jose Pineda were arrested in an Atlanta suburb while
Arturo Salcedo was arrested in a West Ashley neighborhood. It is
alleged that these individuals are part of a drug trafficking
organization that transported drugs from Mexico into South Carolina,
Texas, and Georgia.

The U.S. Marshals led fugitive task force Operation Intercept
announce the arrest of Kendrick Darnell Littlejohn on Tuesday
November 30th, 2010. Littlejohn was wanted for Failure to Appear on
November 9th, 2010 for the underlying charge of Assault & Battery
with Intent to Kill on April 27th, 2010 in Greenville County, SC.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office requested Operation Intercept’s
assistance on November 15th, 2010 in locating and apprehending
Littlejohn.

November 17, 2010
- U.S. Marshals led fugitive Task Force Operation Intercept
located and arrested Willie Jermaine Taylor in Greenville, SC on
Tuesday, November 16th. Taylor has outstanding warrants for
the alleged charges of: Murder, Burglary in the First Degree,
Kidnapping, Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and
Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime
stemming from an incident on October 18th in Traveler Rest, SC.

November 04, 2010
- U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force (OPIN),
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department, and the South Carolina Law
Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested Romeo Brown and Deshawn Powell
this morning in Orangeburg, SC. Both are wanted for separate Murder
Warrants issued by Orangeburg County.

- On October 29, approximately 30 personnel from the United
States Marshals Service and Darlington County Sheriff’s Office
conducted Operation Trick or Treat, an initiative to ensure
registered sex offenders are residing in their documented homes and
compliant with the rules set forth for South Carolina sex offenders.

- The U.S. Marshal led Operation Intercept Fugitive Task Force,
working in conjunction with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office
and North Charleston Police Department, apprehended 4 fugitives
during the afternoon and evening hours of October 20.

October 12, 2010
- Jackie Jenkins and Lorenzo Herion were arrested in Conway in
the afternoon hours of October 7 by U.S. Marshals and partnering law
enforcement agencies. Jenkins is charged by the Horry County Police
Department with 2 counts of Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill
and Burglary. Herion is charged by the Berkeley County
Sheriff’s Office with weapons offenses and the Horry County
Sheriff’s Office with failure to stop for a blue light.

October 12, 2010 -
Mijail Surec-Garcia was arrested in Boca Raton, FL on Friday by U.S.
Marshals and partnering law enforcement agencies at a job site where he was
building and repairing homes. Garcia is charged by the Charleston County
Sheriff’s Office with Lewd Act on a Minor, Criminal Sexual Conduct, and two
counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Santurnino Mendez was apprehended without incident last night by U.S. Marshals at a Greyhound Bus Station in
Austin, Texas. Mendez, who is also known as Santurnino Trinidad, is
charged by the North Charleston Police Department with sexually
assaulting two minor children, approximately aged 4 and 5.

- Kevin Alexander AKA “Twin Diddy” has been a fugitive since June 20th,
2001 and was apprehended by the Regional Fugitive Task Force (RFTF) in
Staten Island, NY on Wednesday September 22nd, 2010. Deputy U.S. Marshals in
Florence, SC developed information of the whereabouts of Alexander and
requested the assistance from the Deputy U.S. Marshals in Eastern New York.

September 22, 2010 - On
Friday September 24th, 2010 the U.S. Marshals Service will celebrate its
221st Anniversary of Federal Law Enforcement Service. In conjunction with
this historic event, Kelvin Washington U.S. Marshal for South Carolina is
hosting “U.S. Marshals Day” at the Matthew J. Perry Federal Courthouse
located at 901 Richland Street Columbia, SC at 11:00am.

September 21, 2010 -
David Scott Browder of Lexington, SC was arrested by the Florida
Regional Fugitive Task Force in West Palm Beach, FL. Browder was wanted by
the U.S. Marshals Service for Failure to Appear for Trial on November 2nd,
2009. Browder is charged with: Felon in Possession of a Weapon, Possession
with intent to Distribute and Distribution of Cocaine, Possession of a
Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, and Failure to Appear as
required by conditions of bond. Browder faces a maximum sentence of life
imprisonment if convicted at trial.

September 10, 2010 -
The U.S. Marshals Service and its law enforcement partners in the Low
Country conducted Operation AWOL from September 7-9. Operation AWOL was a
joint fugitive apprehension initiative that targeted sex offenders. Over the
course of the three day operation, 33 physical arrests were made closing 72
warrants. Additionally, 20 Low Country sex offenders with active warrants
were located in other states and discovered to have been properly registered
in those states.

July 19, 2010 -
Sharon Cantrell was arrested in South Carolina this morning at 9:30 am.
Cantrell has been a fugitive since 2006 from the Georgia Board of Probation
& Parole. She was added to the Top 25 Most Wanted List for the state of
Georgia on July 9th, 2010. Cantrell received a life sentence for drug and
weapon offenses in 1991. Cantrell was paroled in 2005 and allegedly
absconded supervision in 2006.

U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept and Task Force Officers have been
assisting South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), 14th Circuit
Solicitor’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, & South Carolina
Probation, Parole, & Pardon Services in arresting indicted Sand Hill and
Dooley Hill Gang members in Walterboro, SC. These two rival gangs allegedly
have been feuding since November 2009 when a drive-by shooting took the
lives of Christopher Powell, Charles Kittrell and a 20 month old baby girl
named Shaniyah Burden.

June 28, 2010 -
U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept (OPIN) Fugitive Task Force arrested Bashi
Ahmed Sorey on Friday June 24th, 2010 in South Carolina. Sorey is wanted for
a New Jersey Parole Violation from October 20th, 2009 and an alleged
Aggravated Assault with a Weapon Warrant on May 19th, 2009 from DeKalb
County Georgia. The New York New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NYNJ
RFTF) was assisting the New Jersey Parole Board in apprehension of Sorey
when information obtained led them to SC.

June 24, 2010 -
U.S. Marshals Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect - U.S. Marshals Operation
Intercept Task Force Officers received a request from Lexington County
Sheriff’s Office for assistance in locating Henry Clay Golson for the
alleged Armed Robbery of a BP/S-Mart gas station in West Columbia, SC on May
23rd, 2010.

Multiple Fugitives Arrested - On June 17th, 2010 Deputy U.S. Marshals
and Task Force Officers arrested William Manning for an Alleged Aggravated
Assault/Shooting out of Newark New Jersey. On June 9th, Deputy U.S.
Marshals, Columbia Police Department Officers, and Richland County Sheriff’s
Deputies arrested Odell Johnson for an alleged Armed Robbery, Assault &
Battery with Intent to Kill charge. On June 7th, Deputy U.S. Marshals and
Wilson Police Department Officers arrested fugitives Daryl Len Farmer and
Antonio Marquis Farmer in Columbia, SC. Both men are wanted in connection
with an alleged triple shooting from Wilson, NC.

On Monday June 7th, 2010 U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Columbia, SC
arrested fugitives Daryl Len Farmer and Antonio Marquis Farmer. Both men are
wanted in connection with an alleged triple shooting from Wilson, NC that
happened on April 27th, 2010. Both men are charged with Attempted Murder and
Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

On Wednesday May 19th, 2010 U.S. Marshals Operation Intercept Florence
Division and Myrtle Beach Police arrested David V. Sheppard at 802 65th Ave.
North Myrtle Beach. Sheppard was wanted for alleged Failure to Register as a
Sex Offender out of Brockton District Court in Brockton, MA.

2010 - U.S. Marshal Kelvin Washington Announces Fugitive Arrests. A significant arrest occurred on
Wednesday April 14th, 2010, when the US Marshals Task
Force, apprehended Donsurvi Chisolm at a bus stop in Los Angeles, CA.
Chisolm was wanted on a Felony Murder Warrant out of Berkeley County, SC.
On April 1st, 2010 at 2 Plainfield Avenue Goose Creek, SC Chisolm
allegedly shot and killed his fourteen year old nephew Michael Chisolm and
seriously injured his brother Donsa Chisolm.

October 17, 2009
- Bernard Baker AKA: Scrappy, was
apprehended at a home on Schoolhouse Road in Columbia, SC. Baker is a
fugitive from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a suspect in a
Homicide/Murder that took place on August 16, 2008. The U.S. Marshals
Task Force, Operation Intercept received a request for investigative
assistance on August 1, 2009 based on information gathered leading
investigators to believe Baker had fled to South Carolina.

April 10,
2009 – Michael
Angelo Young was arrested without incident at a relative’s home on
Wednesday, April 8. Young, 29, was the subject of Wyandotte County, KS
warrants for First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery. The warrants
stem from a shooting incident that occurred in October 2008. =

April 9,
2009 - Edward Porta, a former resident
of the Spartanburg area, was the President of Porta Textiles and Porta
Technologies, companies with extensive business contacts within the North
American textile industry. On December 20, 2005, Porta pled guilty in the
U.S. District Court in Asheville, North Carolina to the charge of Conspiracy
to Defraud the U.S. Department of Agriculture. On May 2, 2007, Porta was
sentenced to 38 months imprisonment for his role in the elaborate cotton
import/export scheme that defrauded the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as
well as banks and businesses in the U.S. and Mexico, to the tune of over 2.5
million dollars. On February 25, 2008, Porta was discovered missing
following a scheduled prisoner count at the United States Penitentiary Lee
County (VA) Satellite Camp. He has been on the run since that date and has
been charged with Escape.

April 6, 2009
- Edward Woods was arrested without incident on Saturday, April 4.
Woods, also known as Edward Aiken, was the subject of a 1991
Williamson County (TX) warrant charging him with Failure to Appear
on an original charge of Indecency with a Child. He had been on the
run for 18 years. Woods, 42, was booked into the Lexington County
Detention Center awaiting extradition proceedings. The Marshals
fugitive task force, Operation Intercept, received information from
Texas last week that Woods was possibly living off of Biddle Road in
Lexington. Lexington County Investigators and Deputy Marshals in
Columbia began surveillance shortly after receiving the information
and were able to apprehend Woods.

April 4, 2009 -
Thomas Outing was arrested without incident in Philadelphia, PA just after
11:00 this morning. Outing was the subject of a Lexington County warrant for
murder. He was booked into a local jail awaiting extradition proceedings.
Lexington County Investigators and Deputy Marshals in Columbia tracked
Outing to Philadelphia early last week and provided that information to
Deputy Marshals in Philadelphia.
