September 02, 2015 - David R. Mason, a fugitive wanted in California by the California Department of Corrections, was arrested in Las Vegas by the United States Marshals led Sex Offender Predator Apprehension Team/Task Force. A warrant was issued charging Mason with Parole Violation. The charges stem from an original charge of Lewd and Lascivious Act with a Child Under 14.
July 28, 2015 - The Northern Nevada’s U.S. Marshals led fugitive task force, with assistance from the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit and Reno Police Department, arrested Nicholas M. Moss yesterday. Moss was arrested for an outstanding first degree Sexual Assault warrant issued by Sarpy County, Nebraska.
June 30, 2015 - Northern Nevada’s U.S. Marshals-led fugitive task force located and arrested William Eric Smith who is wanted by the Modesto Police Department for a murder committed on June 6th.
March 23, 2015 - In an ongoing effort to make Clark County safer, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department recently teamed up to conduct a three week operation targeting sex offenders who were in violation of the sex offender registration laws, and fugitive offenders wanted for sex related crimes. The recently concluded operation, which occurred from March 2-20, 2015, was very successful and resulted in eighteen arrests.
January 26, 2015 - A member of Northern Nevada’s U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, with assistance of the California Highway Patrol, arrested Mark Tyler Pierce this evening. Pierce was arrested without incident while traveling eastbound on highway 80 outside of Truckee, CA. He was taken into custody for an outstanding murder warrant originating from Hoke County, NC.
November 21, 2014 - Northern Nevada’s U.S. Marshals led fugitive taskforce is actively seeking the whereabouts of Timothy Tofaute and David Dixon. The two men are accused of an armed takeover of the Chukchansi Indian Resort and Casino in Coarsegold, California on October 9, 2014. Brian Auchenbach, who was also named on an arrest warrant related to this event, turned himself in to the Madera County Sheriff on November 20th.
November 18, 2014 - Northern Nevada’s U.S. Marshals led fugitive taskforce is seeking the public’s assistance locating Timothy Tofaute, David Dixon, and Brian Auchenbach. Toufaute and Dixon are residents of Sparks while Auchenbach is a resident of Gardnerville. All subjects have significant ties to Northern Nevada. Tofaute, Dixon, and Auchenbach are accused of numerous felonies including Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
December 26, 2013 - U.S. Marshals Northern Nevada Fugitive Task Force arrests James Edward Bryant within 6 hours after being contacted by their San Francisco counterparts. Bryant was arrested late this afternoon on an outstanding California Parolee at Large (PAL) warrant. His underlying offense is a conviction for sex offenses against a minor under the age of 14.
July 15, 2012 – Robert Franklin Murray, 28, a fugitive wanted in Contra Costa County was arrested July 11 by the local U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Task Force and the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU). Murray was wanted on charges of rape and other sex related crimes.
June 21, 2013 - Three individuals, all with unrelated cases, were arrested in the past 2 days by the local U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Task Force and the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU). The individuals arrested fled to Northern Nevada from Alaska, Utah, and California.
June 10, 2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force partnered with the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit for Operation S.O.S. V (Sex Offender Compliance Sweep). The 3 day operation, combining the resources of 20 law enforcement officers and support staff, resulted in more than 640 sex offender compliance checks and 455 verifications. 44 registered offenders were found to be non-compliant.
October 30, 2012 - In an ongoing effort to make Halloween safer for the children in our communities, Nevada Child Seekers is excited to announce that a partnership of local law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshals are conducting “Operation Trick-or-Treat,” a three day multi agency law enforcement operation to arrest sex offender fugitives and to ensure compliance with sex offender registration requirements by sex offenders in Clark County and Washoe County. This is the sixth straight year the U.S. Marshals has spearheaded this very important operation.
April 26, 2012 - The Reno U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Police, announces the arrest of Landan R. McMain. McMain is wanted by the Colorado Springs Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for multiple charges including kidnapping and sexual assault.
January 11, 2012 - The U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force in partnership with the Sparks Police Department announces the arrest of Jose Guadalupe Gomez-Delgado. The subject is wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on multiple charges including kidnapping, sexual assault, and assault with a deadly weapon. It is alleged that in 2009, Gomez-Delgado kidnapped and sexually assaulted an adult female.
December 14, 2011 - A fugitive that was profiled on America’s Most Wanted television show was arrested last night in Las Vegas, Nevada, by the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (FIST). Anton Blevins was wanted by the Detroit Police Department for homicide. It is alleged that Blevins had a violent encounter outside of a nightclub in downtown Detroit. During this altercation, Wayne State University cornerback Courtney Cortez Smith was fatally shot.

October 19, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force (USMS) announces the arrest of Nicolas J .Whitlock. Whitlock is wanted in Galveston, Texas on two outstanding arrest warrants, alleging indecency with a minor by exposure, issued on October 10, 2011. Whitlock, 27, was arrested this morning and booked into the Washoe County Jail awaiting extradition to Texas.
March 30, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) announces the arrest of Steven M. James (AKA Steven Mell), a fugitive wanted in Spokane, Washington on an outstanding probation warrant issued in 1983. James, 59, was sentenced to probation as the result of a 1983 conviction for attempted indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14.
March 02, 2011 - The U.S. Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, arrested Warren Frank Tuer in Yerington, Nevada. Tuer is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Allegan, Michigan alleging 4 counts of criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13. The investigation to locate Warren Tuer led Deputy U.S. Marshals to Yerington, Nevada. The subject was apprehended without incident and booked into the Lyon County jail.
March 01, 2011 - Buddy and Sharon Anderson, a couple wanted on state charges stemming out of Texas, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by members of the U.S. Marshals led fugitive task force Nevada FIST (Fugitive Investigative Strike Team) and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Buddy and Sharon Anderson were being sought on warrants issued by the Ennis (TX) Police Department on charges of possession of child pornography.
February 10, 2011 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) led Fugitive Task Force arrested Anthony Gililland this afternoon at the Baymont Inn and Suites located in Reno, Nevada. Gilillland is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Yuba County, CA. He was the last subject wanted in connection of a January home invasion armed robbery.
