Brian M. Ennis

Brian M. Ennis was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as United States Marshal for the District of Nebraska on February 14, 2002. Brian was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and attended the University of Pittsburgh.

Prior to being appointed U.S. Marshal, Brian served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and Omaha, Nebraska. In this capacity, Brian was responsible for providing security for the federal court system and its judges. In addition, he was tasked with assuring the care and security of federal prisoners, enforcing warrants on fugitives, seizing assets in forfeiture and operating the witness security program. Brian was the first Deputy U.S. Marshal to serve with the Baltimore FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force.

Brian has received numerous commendations and awards for his work from the Department of Justice, the Marshals Service, the FBI and state and local jurisdictions in Maryland and Nebraska.

Brian is a member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police, the United Way Young Leaders and Bridge Builders Society, and the Metro Chiefs of Police organization in Nebraska.
