  • July 16, 2015 - The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with various federal, state and local agencies, announce the successful conclusion of Operation Safe Neighborhood conducted this week in Brunswick and Columbus Counties.
  • July 09, 2015 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of North Carolina, announces the recovery of an abducted 20 month old child and the arrest of two subjects wanted in connection with the abduction of this child from the Richmond, VA, area. Deputy U.S. Marshals, along with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office and the Fairmont Police Department, located the child at a residence in Fairmont. Derrick Baker and the child’s 17 year old mother, were arrested at the same location.
  • October 17, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of North Carolina, and the Rocky Mount Police Department announce the successful conclusion of Operation First Frost. Law enforcement officers from numerous agencies fanned out across the city of Rocky Mount and the surrounding areas of Nash and Edgecombe Counties with the goal of locating and apprehending subjects wanted for a variety of offenses. By end of the operation, 34 subjects had been arrested, 117 warrants had been served, and one search warrant had been executed.
  • April 14, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of North Carolina, and the Rocky Mount Police Department announce the successful conclusion of Operation Cerberus. Law enforcement officers from numerous agencies fanned out across the city of Rocky Mount and the surrounding areas of Nash and Edgecombe Counties over recent weeks, with the goal of locating and apprehending subjects wanted for a variety of offenses. By end of the operation, 404 subjects had been arrested and 634 warrants had been served.
  • March 06, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service, Eastern District of North Carolina, announces the arrest of Oscar Rodriguez in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Rodriguez is wanted for multiple alleged sex crimes he committed against adult and juvenile victims, burglary and deserting the U.S. Army.
