U.S. Marshal Peter Munoz

 Peter Munoz was nominated by President Obama to be the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Michigan on January 20, 2010.

 

Peter Munoz was the Director of the Michigan Department of State Police, a position he held from 2006 until 2010. He previously served as the Deputy Director of the Field Service's Bureau from 2003 to 2006. He joined the State Police as a Trooper in 1978, rising through the ranks to his current position. Mr. Munoz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Detroit in 1978.
