The United States Marshal Office in Baltimore was established on  September 30, 1789 under the appointment of U.S. Marshal Nathaniel Ramsay.  The district consist of Allegany, Ann Arundel, Baltimore, Caroline, Carroll, Calvert, Cecil , Charles, Dorchester, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, St. Mary's , Somerset, Talbot, Queen Anne, Washington, Wicomico, Worcester  with one Field office located in Prince George County.  The following is a listing of former United States Marshals for the District of Maryland.
