April 16, 2013
- Wade Lohse was arrested this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals’
Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force in downtown
Philadelphia. This arrest concludes an extensive fugitive investigation
that began when Lohse fled his trial on charges of Vehicular Homicide,
Felon in Possession, and Burglary in Lafayette Parish.

April 05, 2013 -
The U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force has joined forces
with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office in the hunt for a violent
fugitive who fled from his trial. Wade Lohse is wanted by the Lafayette
Parish Sheriff’s Office after he walked out of his trial March 25. Lohse
is currently facing the following charges: Vehicular Homicide, Felon in
Possession of a Firearm and Burglary.

February 27, 2013 -
On February 26th, Gary James was arrested by members of the U.S.
Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) and Acadia Parish Sheriff’s
Office at a residence in Eunice (Acadia Parish). James was Wanted by the
Los Angeles Police Department on an October, 2012 warrant for Lewd
Lascivious Acts with Child Less than 14 Years of Age.

December 13, 2012
- The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) in Lafayette
along with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF)
from New Orleans arrested murder suspect Junior Weston in New Orleans.

November 08, 2012
- The U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force with critical
assistance from the Houma Police Department, Thibodeaux Police
Department, and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested twenty-one
year old Christopher Wilson. Wilson was Wanted by the Lafayette Police
Department for Attempted First Degree Murder.

October 02, 2012 -
On September 27th, the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender
Task Force (VOTF) in Lafayette arrested Quincy Mouton. Mouton was wanted
by the Rayne Police Department for 2nd Degree Murder. Just 5 days
later, the VOTF arrested Steve Faulk, who was wanted by the Acadia
Parish Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Rape and Aggravated Kidnapping.

September 12, 2012
- The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Alfred
this afternoon. Alfred was Wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for
Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. U.S. Marshals arrested Alfred
pursuant to a traffic stop in Lafayette, LA.

- The Lafayette Police Department and The U.S. Marshals Violent
Offender Task Force are seeking assistance and information from the
public as to Carl J. Phillips’s location. Phillips is wanted for 2nd
Degree Murder that took place on July 28, 2012.

July 07, 2012
- Members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF)
with assistance from Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State
Police, and Church Point Police arrested murder suspect Steven Guillory.
Less than 24 hours later, Willie Dean and Xavier Freeman were arrested
by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and VOTF. Both suspects are
Wanted by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina for
1st Degree Murder and Armed Robbery Charges.

April 04, 2012 - The U.S.
Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) from Lafayette with critical
assistance from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State
Police arrested Vincente Mendoza. Mendoza was Wanted by the Orangeburg County
Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. Mendoza allegedly killed Hope Bowers and
Latonia Profit on or about March 17, 2012.

January 27, 2012 -
The U.S. Marshals Service is pleased to announce that William
Langley was arrested this morning in Izard County, Arkansas. Langley was
arrested after attempting to climb out of a basement window in an effort
to evade arrest. Langley was Wanted by the Crowley Police Department for
Aggravated Rape and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for Failure to
Register as a Sex Offender.

December 16, 2011 -
Earlier this year the U.S. Marshals
requested the assistance of America’s Most Wanted (AMW) in exposing an elusive
suspect/fugitive named Kenneth Crouch. Crouch is Wanted by the St. Landry Parish
Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and the U.S. Marshals for a
myriad of crimes. AMW put Crouch on their website earlier this year and in
November AMW came to Lafayette and filmed a lengthy segment about Crouch and his
crimes. AMW will air a segment about Crouch tomorrow on their Fox Special that
begins at 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

September 30, 2011
- Raymond Novak was arrested by members of the US Marshal’s Violent
Offender Task Force today. The arrest occurred near mile marker 72 off
I-10 in Acadia Parish. Novak was Wanted by Westmoreland County Sheriff’s
Office in Pennsylvania for Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse. Novak
was scheduled to appear for trial on these charges on Monday, September
26th, but he failed to appear.

August 03, 2011 -
Nineteen Year Old Nelson Paul Chambers peacefully surrendered to the
U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF) at about 12:00 p.m.
today. Chambers was accompanied by his family and others as he
surrendered in front of the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
On July 19th after Chambers failed to appear at his trial for
Aggravated Rape, the Lafayette Police Department requested the
assistance of the VOTF.

July 15, 2011 -
Justin William Durbin was arrested on Trousdale Road in Sulphur
after at least two high-speed chases and a multi-jurisdictional
manhunt. Durbin was Wanted by the following agencies: Pima County
Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, Baton Rouge PD, Mt. Pleasant PD / South
Carolina, Collier County Sheriff’s Office / Naples, Florida, Lafayette
PD, Virginia Beach PD, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office / Pensacola,
Florida, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office / Noblesville, Indiana, and
Prince Georges County Sheriff’s Office / Maryland. The charges range
from Probation Violation, Grand Theft Auto, Larceny, Burglary, and
Fraud.

July 13, 2011 -
Ronny (or Ronnie) Stutes was arrested this afternoon just before
1:00 p.m. outside a restaurant in Lafayette by the U.S. Marshals Violent
Offender Task Force (VOTF). Stutes was Wanted by the Ft. Wright Police
Department in Kentucky for a bank robbery (2nd Degree Robbery) that
occurred on June 15, 2011. Also, Stutes was running from a Parole
Violation in Kentucky.
- July 08, 2011 -
Patrick George was arrested last night in Valdosta, Georgia by the U.S.
Marshals in Albany with critical assistance from the Narcotics section
of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. George was arrested pursuant to
Louisiana Revised Statute 14:130, Obstruction of Justice. George is a
suspect in the homicide investigation that was initiated after Cory
Nicholas Sonnier was found murdered in Lake Martin on June 24, 2011.

July 05, 2011 -
Major Adam Benoit was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent
Offender Task Force with critical assistance from the Louisiana State
Police, Intelligence Division at a Lake Charles area Casino at about
12:45 a.m. Saturday. Benoit was arrested on a provisional arrest warrant
seeking his extradition from the United States to Costa Rica. The
warrant was signed in the Western District of Louisiana on charges
stemming from a June 2, 2010, armed robbery that allegedly occurred in
Heredia, Costa Rica.

April 28, 2011
- Kevin Lee Sam was arrested inside an apartment located Lafayette, LA.
Sam is Wanted by the Sunset Police Department and St. Landry Parish
Sheriff’s Office for 1st Degree Murder. The murder occurred on March
27th; in early April St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office requested the
assistance of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF).

January 16, 2011 -
Yesterday afternoon U.S. Marshals from Houston with assistance from
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol arrested twenty-three year old
Napoleon Lopez in Conroe, Texas. Lopez was Wanted by the Lafayette
Police Department for Aggravated Rape. In December, Lopez allegedly
raped a fifteen year old girl.

December 14, 2010 -
Demetrick Taylor was arrested this afternoon in
Jennings by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender’s Task Force
(VOTF) from Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles. Further,
critical assistance was provided by the Jefferson Davis Parish
Sheriff’s Office. Taylor was Wanted by the Baton Rouge Police
Department for two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Simple
Robbery, and Simple Battery.

October 14, 2010 -
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with critical assistance from
the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Lafayette Parish
Sheriff’s Office arrested Damien Jackson. Jackson is being charged by
St. Martin Parish authorities for Aggravated Flight from an Officer and
Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. Jackson also faces charges with
Lafayette Parish for Failure to Appear on a Cocaine Charge and Failure
to Appear on a Flight from an Officer Charge.

October 01, 2010 -
Twenty-eight year old Jamal James Carmouche was arrested by
members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force with critical
assistance from the Abbeville Police Department. Carmouche was Wanted by
the Lafayette Police Department for a murder that occurred during the
early morning hours of September 18th where the victim, Marcus Despaine
sustained gunshot wounds.

September 24, 2010
- Norman Stark was arrested on the Beach in High Island, TX
(Galveston County) while sleeping in his girlfriend’s truck. Stark was
Wanted by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register as a
Sex Offender and by Louisiana Probation and Parole for Probation
Violation.

July 02, 2010
- The U.S. Marshals are seeking information as to the location of
twenty-eight year old Michael
Blasingame. Blasingame fled the United States with his three year
old son, Eitan sometime after March 18, 2008. Blasingame is charged
federally in the Eastern District of Texas with International Parental
Kidnapping and Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. Blasingame is also
wanted by the State of Texas in Collin County for Interference with a
Child Custody Order.

June 23, 2010 -
Trenton Roberts of New Iberia was arrested in New Iberia, LA. Roberts
was Wanted by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register
as a Sex Offender and by Louisiana Probation and Parole for Probation
Violation (Original Offense: Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile). Roberts
Probation Warrant was dated July 8, 2008 and the search for him heated
up when Roberts got away from officers and U.S. Marshals on Thursday,
June 10th after he dove out of a window.

On Tuesday March 30th at approximately 1:40 a.m., three inmates
Quentin M. Truehill, Kentrell F. Johnson, and Peter M. Hughes escaped from the
Avoyelles Parish Jail in Marksville, Louisiana. The inmates escaped
after they armed themselves with a make shift knife and held it to the
throat of a Correctional Officer (CO) and forced him to open the door. The US
Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force in Miami along with the Miami Dade
Police Department ultimately located and arrested all three escapees. Two were arrested as they were
leaving the Budget Inn located in Miami. The third escapee was
apprehended by Task Force Officers a few blocks away.

March 31, 2010 -
On March 29, 2010, Quentin M. Truehill, Kentrell F.
Johnson, and Peter M. Hughes escaped from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's
Office D.C. #1 in Louisiana. The inmates escaped after putting a
Correctional Officer (CO) at knifepoint and forcing him to open the

March 24, 2010 -
Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in
Lafayette alongside Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office
arrested thirty-nine year old William Martin from Johnson City,
Tennessee. Martin was Wanted by the Kingsport, TN Police Department for
Aggravated Sexual Battery, as he allegedly assaulted a female juvenile
under the age of twelve.

March 17, 2010 -
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force
with vital assistance from the Opelousas Police Department arrested
forty-six year old Gabriel Lewis at 812 Ballard Lane, Opelousas, LA.
After an extensive search of the residence, Lewis was found hiding in
the attic and was ultimately arrested without incident. Lewis was Wanted
by King County, Washington for First Degree Robbery.

February 25, 2010
- The Abbeville Police Department and U.S. Marshals are pleased to
announce the arrest of Jamaal Diggs. Diggs was Wanted by the Abbeville
Police Department for Second Degree Murder and Louisiana Probation and
Parole for Probation Violation.

January 23, 2010 -
Forty-One year old Regis Reymon
Madison was arrested by U.S. Marshals and others at the Holy Family
Apartment Complex in Lafayette. Madison was the last known suspect
wanted in connection to a Pensacola area Homicide that occurred less
than a week ago. Allegedly, Madison and two others were armed with
shotguns and pistols, they broke into a mobile home in Santa Rosa
County, Florida and opened fire.

November 13, 2009
- Twenty-Nine Year Old Ferdinand Nickles was
arrested at an Apartment Complex in Decatur, GA (DeKalb County) by the
U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force (SERTF) in Atlanta. Nickles
was being sought for 1st Degree Murder Charges that stemmed from the
murder of Ernest Guidry in Vermilion Parish.

September 24, 2009
- Forty-Nine Year Old Norman Roberts was
arrested by US Marshals with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force
in Houston at 4:00 p.m. today. Roberts was Wanted by Louisiana’s Office
of Probation and Parole for violating his conditions of parole. Roberts’
Warrant was dated November 8, 2004. Norman Roberts caused a vehicle
accident on Hwy. 90 on April 24, 2003 that resulted in two deaths.

September 18, 2009
- Forty-six year old Brent Aucoin was arrested in the West Bank area of
New Orleans. Aucoin was Wanted by the Lafayette Parish Sheriffs Office
for Aggravated Rape, Incest, Aggravated Incest, Molestation of a
Juvenile, and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

August 07,
2009 - One of Acadiana’s Most
Wanted, Brian Keith Thomas was arrested in Houma by the Terrebonne Parish
Sheriffs Office and the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force (GCRT).
Thomas was wanted for Escaping from the Avoyelles Parish Jail on Saturday,
August 1, 2009. Further, Thomas was awaiting trial in Evangeline Parish for
2nd Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

2009 - Twenty-Six year old
Anthony Thomas was arrested today by Sebastian County, Arkansas (Ft. Smith).
Thomas was wanted by U.S. Marshals in Lafayette for violating his bond.
Thomas was originally arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for
Possession of Child Pornography.

July 29, 2009 -
Thirty-two year old Arthur Johnson was arrested by the U.S. Marshals
Fugitive Task Force in Lafayette with assistance from the Opelousas
Police Department. Johnson, along with Lester Jones, escaped from the
Orleans Parish Prison sometime during the evening of July 21, 2009.

July 23, 2009
- Brady Cormier was arrested today by U.S.
Marshals, Avoyelles Parish Sheriffs Deputies, Louisiana State Police,
and others in Marksville, LA. Cormier was wanted by Acadia Parish, St.
Landry Parish, Scott PD, and Louisiana Parole and Probation for Burglary
related charges and a Parole Violation. Further, Cormier may be facing
Burglary related charges in Gueydan.

July 16, 2009
- Twenty-three year old Arturo Vasquez was
arrested this morning by U.S. Marshals in the Harris County Courthouse
in Houston, TX. Vasquez was wanted for allegedly stealing (by way of
credit card fraud) eight-thousand dollars worth of merchandise from Home
Depot in Lafayette; four-thousand dollars from Home Depot in Broussard;
and four-thousand dollars from Home Depot in Alexandria. Vasquez is also
under investigation for similar crimes in other cities in Louisiana to
include Lake Charles and Monroe.

July 15, 2009
- The Western District of Louisiana’s
Fugitive Task Force in Lafayette arrested thirty-seven year old Jack
Copeland in Lafayette. Copeland was Wanted in Shelby County Alabama for
2nd Degree Sodomy and 2nd Degree Rape. Further, Coleman has outstanding
warrants in Bay County, Florida for Possession of Controlled Substance
(Felony) and two counts of Domestic Battery (Felony).

- On June 30th members of the U.S. Marshals
Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force in Houston arrested sixty year
old James Francis at the Best Classic Suites in North Houston. Francis
was Wanted by the Lafayette Police Department for 2nd Degree Murder.

Deputy U.S. Marshals
in Houston arrested Cornelius Kelly at a Department Store located inside
a shopping mall. Kelly was Wanted for multiple drug related
charges in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana as well as Beaumont, Texas.
Further, Kelly had recently appeared for trial in one of his drug cases
in St. Mary Parish and requested a continuance. When the judge
denied the continuance, Kelly never returned.

June 26, 2009
- On June 25th U.S. Marshals arrested
twenty-five-year-old Jose Santos in Miami nearly one week after Santos
allegedly kidnapped his fifteen-year-old girlfriend. St. Mary filed
charges against Santos on Tuesday, June 23rd for Aggravated Kidnapping.

June 17, 2009
- Twenty-One year old Jacolby Westley from
Jeanerette was arrested yesterday evening by the U.S. Marshals in
Sacramento, CA. Westley was Wanted by St. Mary Parish for a numerous
charges including: Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Criminal Damage to
Property, Battery, and Illegal Discharging of a Firearm. Further, Iberia
Parish has an active Warrant against Westley for Armed Robbery with a
Firearm.
