Attorneys are encouraged to review the Western District of Louisiana's District Court website which provides information relating to local court procedures.

Notice for Attorney’s regarding Writs and other Court Orders:

  • Writs, Court Orders, or ASRs to produce prisoners within the Western District of Louisiana who are located outside the Western District requires at least six weeks’ notice.
  • Writs, Court Orders, or ASRs to produce prisoners within the Western District of Louisiana who are located within Western Louisiana requires at least two weeks’ notice.
