U.S. Marshals Task Force Searching for Murder Suspect in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge - A dangerous fugitive is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Jerome Albert Sayles, Jr., 22, of Baton Rouge is wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department in connection with a homicide that occurred as a result of a shooting on March 27th in the Hooters/Clicks parking lot on College Drive.

Investigators have developed information that Sayles, a student at Southern University, is in the Baton Rouge area and may be with friends from SU. Anyone with information about Sayles’ location can contact the US Marshals Service Investigators at 225-300-7726 or Crimestoppers at 225-344-7867.

“This fugitive is a danger to the community and is actively taking measures to stay on the run,” said Task Force Coordinator Randy Breckwoldt.

The Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force, coordinated by the U.S. Marshals Service, is a multi-agency task force that targets persons wanted for violent crimes, narcotic offenses, and sexual offenders in the Capitol area and surrounding Parishes. Contributing agencies are the Baton Rouge Police Department, the East and West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Offices, the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, and the Louisiana State Probation and Parole.
