LONG ARM
OF LAW REACHES ARGENTINA
A
major arrest was made early this morning, as the residents of the
Miami-Dade area went about their daily tasks. Hugo Ramon QUESADA,
age 49, was arrested this morning by the Federal Police of Argentina
(Interpol) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after having fled the United
States on charges of homicide.
Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Miami based Fugitive Apprehension
Strike Team (FAST), through the investigative request of the
Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Division, uncovered the
trail of QUESADA through various investigative techniques that
eventually lead to the arrest of QUESADA at the home of his parents
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in South America.
QUESADA was wanted on charges from the Miami-Dade Police
Department’s Homicide Division for the violent 2003 strangulation of
his wife, Maritza QUESADA, 29, and her father, Emilio XIQUES, 61.
Both bodies were discovered at the residence at 13799 S.W. 147th
Avenue, Miami, Florida, in August 2003. QUESADA was also wanted for
the multiple stabbing and killing of his wife’s mother, Nieves
Caridad XIQUES, at her home on 1321 S.W. 7th Street, #12, Miami,
Florida in August 2003.
QUESADA is expected to be extradited to the United States to face
charges of homicide and for his unlawful flight from the country to
avoid prosecution.
The members of the U.S. Marshals led Fugitive Apprehension Strike
Team (FAST) and the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Division
are pleased to put another one of this areas violent criminal
offenders behind bars and to face the long arm of justice here in
Miami, Florida.
