  • August 25, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) received a request on August 11th from the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office to assist in locating and apprehending Jeffrey Michael Mitchell, also known as – “Draven”. Mitchell was wanted for sexually assaulting a four year old girl in Jacksonville, Florida in May 2008. Mitchell was found at this residence and taken into custody without incident.

  • August 06, 2008 - Members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) captured Albert Dewayne Nichols, August 5th, who has been on the run since December 2007. He is wanted by Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (Punta Gorda, FL) for charges of Lewd & Lascivious Molestation on a Person Less Than 16 Year of Age and 3 counts of Sexual Battery on a victim less than 12 years.

  • April 30, 2008 - On April 29, 2008, a West Palm Beach Florida man, Ricardo David Funes-Valle 20, was arrested in the Tampa Bay Area. After investigations by the City of West Palm Beach Police Department into the Murder of Scott E. Graham, Ricardo David Funes-Valle was identified a suspect based on crime scene evidence.

  • February 26, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office combined efforts and located and arrested Israel Trejo without incident.  Investigators for the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office stated that fugitive Trejo was charged with over 80 counts of Rape on his biological children.  

  • February 21, 2008 - A Crime Stoppers tip received by U.S. Marshals in South Florida led to the arrest of Papouche Edmond in Polk County. The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) received information that Edmond was in the Tampa Bay Area. Further investigations led Deputy Marshals to believe that Edmond was in Polk County Florida. Papouche Edmond, 21 was wanted in on 5 warrants. The warrants were for lewd battery on a child under 12, aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm, impregnating a minor, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence.

  • February 17, 2008 - Maryland State Police were searching for Jacob Corey Gordon, 28, who they say brutally raped a woman seven years ago. After the airing of America’s Most Wanted (AMW) on Saturday, the U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) received notification from AMW that Gordon was in the Tampa Bay Area.  On February 17, 2008, Gordon was located and arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Tampa Police.

  • January 08, 2008 - A man on bond for Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) with a weapon out Broward County was arrested in Tampa. The U.S. Marshals Tampa Bay Area Fugitive Task Force (TBAFTF) coordinated with the, Tampa Police Department based on a leads sent from the U.S. Marshals Service out of Miami FL helped locate the fugitive in the Tampa Bay Area. Michael Barnes, 21 years old, was wanted for Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, after leading Miami Beach Police Department on a high speed chase.

  • November 19, 2007 - A man wanted for Federal Probation Violation out the District of West Virginia, Charleston was arrested in Wesley Chapel Florida. Matthew Paul Morris, 35 years old, was wanted for Federal Probation Violation for prior convictions of Bank Robbery, Narcotics charges, and Weapons Possession charges. Morris is the number one suspect in a recent murder in Okeechobee County.

  • September 05, 2007 - The U.S. Marshals Service High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)/FAST Task Force teamed with Orange County Sex Offender Squad and arrested Warren Templar of Phoenix, AZ for an outstanding warrant for Kidnapping. After several hours of surveillance to positively identify Templar and ensure the safe and well being of the 2 year old child, the team led by U.S. Marshals took Templar down without incident outside a restaurant at the Market Promenade Center in Lake Mary, Florida.

  • September 01, 2007 - The United States Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force has arrested Tony Carlos Berry, age 25, of Orlando, Florida. Berry was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force on August 31, 2007  after receiving critical information as to Berry’s whereabouts from the U.S. Marshals Office in Omaha, Nebraska. Tony Carlos Berry was wanted by the Omaha Police Department on a warrant charging Berry with 1st Degree Homicide with a Firearm. The warrant alleges that Berry committed the above offense in Omaha, Nebraska on August 28, 2007.

  • July 19, 2007 - Federal and state law enforcement officers shot and wounded an Orlando man after he allegedly attempted to run over an Orange County Deputy and a Deputy U.S. Marshal with a vehicle during an arrest attempt in west Orange County.  Artrall Golden, 22, was shot in the arm and abdomen after reportedly driving a car through the garage door of a residence and speeding the vehicle toward two officers standing in the driveway.
