Arrest of Michael Henry

With information developed by the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force, a fugitive wanted by the Delaware State Police was arrested at a residence in Patterson, N.J. by members of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. Michael P. Henry, 44 years of age, had been wanted for two counts of Rape 3rd, one count of Sexual Abuse of a Child, fourteen counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact, one count of unlawful imprisonment, and two counts of incest. These charges stemmed from incidents that occurred during 2000 and 2001. At that time, Henry had allegedly raped and molested an eleven year old girl. The incidents occurred in the Kent Acres sub-division of Kent County.

In September, 2006, during Operation MPACT (Marshals and Police Arresting Criminals Together), Delaware State Police asked the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force for assistance in locating and arresting Henry. Task Force Officers quickly learned that Henry may have fled the Kent County area and gone to New Jersey. At approximately 7:30 a.m., on December 12, 2006, members of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Henry at 47 Ryle Ave, Patterson, NJ.

Henry was immediately transported to the Passaic County Jail pending his extradition proceedings back to Delaware.
