Arrest of Scott Gransbury

The United States Marshals Service has arrested a subject in Atlanta, GA who was wanted by New Castle County Police for unlawful sexual contact and other related charges. Scott Gransbury, 33 previously of the 2900 block of Philadelphia Pike, Claymont was wanted for an incident that occurred on July 16, 2006 in Claymont, Delaware.

Detectives obtained warrants for unlawful sexual contact in the first degree and two counts of indecent exposure in the first degree. Once police started investigating the case, the defendant fled the area. The United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force was referred this case on December 4, 2006. The investigation revealed Gransbury was staying at a homeless shelter in Atlanta. On December 6, 2006, members from the Metro Atlanta Marshals Task Force set up surveillance and apprehended Gransbury without incident.

Gransbury is being held without bail in Fulton County Jail.
