March 03, 2015 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of James Terrell Booker, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Booker was apprehended after a nation-wide manhunt involving Federal and Local Law Enforcement from California and Arkansas. Booker was wanted after he escaped from a Federal Detention Facility in Southern California.
October 01, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of Fermin Aguilar-Agueta, a suspected MS-13 gang member, who is wanted in El Salvador for aggravated homicide. Aguilar-Agueta is suspected by Salvadorian authorities of being involved in a drunken altercation between rival gang factions, which resulted in the shooting death of an individual in March 2007.

August 27, 2014 - Carlos Alberto Cervantes was arrested by The U.S. Marshals Service along with Mexican Authorities in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Cervantes is wanted by the Oakland police Department for two counts of Homicide from 2001.
August 08, 2014 - An investigation spearheaded by the U.S. Marshals International Investigations Branch and the Fugitive Division of Interpol Washington, U.S. National Central Bureau, resulted in the arrest of Gerardo Francisco Mejia Coto, a member of a vicious group of kidnappers, assailants, and bank robbers known as the “Tacoma Cabrera” gang, in California.
July 31, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Donald O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of Angela Zuniga, who was sought by the Salinas Police Department for her role in the stabbing death of, 14 year old, Ricardo Ruiz. Zuniga was a featured fugitive on the Northern California’s Most Wanted website.
July 16, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals teamed up with a multitude of law enforcement agencies, to perform a sex offender compliance operation in Contra Costa County, ensuring that all registered sex offenders are following agreed upon rules and the information that they provide is correct. The operation, dubbed Operation Haystack, was conducted over two days and over 140 registered sex offenders were contacted.
July 01, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals in the Northern and Eastern District of California today announce the conclusion of a two week operation which resulted in the arrest of 104 wanted violent fugitives and gang members from throughout the region.
April 18, 2014 - The U.S. Marshal led Pacific Southwest Fugitive Task Force in California, working in conjunction with San Francisco Police, Oakland Police, and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended 4 fugitives, who are charged with violent crimes, in the last 48 hours.
April 07, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe announces the arrest of Samir Azizi by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force at San Francisco International Airport. Azizi is wanted in Germany for several financial crimes – 89 counts related to tax evasion – committed between 2008 and 2012.
February 20, 2014 - U.S. Marshal Don O’Keefe is proud to announce the arrest of Ed Mendoza in Santa Rosa, CA. Mendoza has been on the run since 1994. Mendoza was originally arrested in 1994 by DEA agents for his involvement in a cocaine distribution syndicate.
February 18, 2014 - The San Francisco Police Department and the U.S. Marshals partnered up over a 3 day period to ensure that those who are required to be on the sex offender registry are in compliance with its rules and regulations. As a result, 14 individuals were arrested for being non-compliant with the sex offender registry.
