25, 2015 - Last night, Deputy U.S. Marshals took
custody of Manuel Mauro Rivera-Ramirez from law enforcement
officials in the Republic of Mexico at the Port of Entry in El
Paso, Texas. In September 2008, a warrant was issued by the Pima
County Superior Court charging Rivera-Ramirez with violating his
conditions of probation after Absconding from Supervision.
26, 2015 - U.S. Marshals tracked Matthew Lynn
Brewster, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, to Saudi Arabia where he
was detained and subsequently returned to the United States
earlier today. In April 2014, the Pima County Sheriff's Office
obtained a warrant for the arrest of Brewster, which charged him
with multiple counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor under the
age of Fifteen.
05, 2014 - On Monday afternoon, Jefferey Morris was
arrested by Task Force members in Glendale, AZ. Morris was
wanted by the Lexington Police Department in Kentucky for
31, 2014 - Throughout the month of October, Deputy
U.S. Marshals, Task Force Officers, and numerous federal, state,
and local partners collaborated in “Operation Safe Treat VII”
across the state of Arizona. The operation targeted fugitive sex
offenders, child predators with outstanding arrest warrants and
those wanted for crimes against children.
15, 2014 - Yesterday morning, homicide suspect
Cedric Miller was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals led
Violent Offender Task Force at the Pima County Superior
Courthouse in downtown Tucson.
2014 - U.S. Marshals and Tohono O’odham Police
Department wrapped up a two day sex offender compliance
operation that started yesterday and concluded today. The
compliance operation was a combined effort consisting of various
tribal, local, state and federal agencies ensuring sex offenders
residing on the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation are complying
with sex offender registration laws.
2014 - From March 10-14, the U.S. Marshals Service
in Arizona led Operation Southern Star III, a law enforcement
operation targeting violent fugitives with outstanding felony
warrants issued out of Pima, Graham and Cochise Counties in
Arizona. These warrants included offenses for violent crimes to
include narcotic violations.
01, 2014 - Salvador Ibarra was arrested at the U.S.
Border Patrol check point located south of Tucson on Interstate
19. Deputies assigned to the U.S. Marshals led Arizona WANTED
Violent Offender Task Force received information from the San
Diego Fugitive Task Force requesting assistance after
information was developed and put Ibarra in southern Arizona.
2014 - Yesterday afternoon, Michael Mazel was arrested
in Eloy, Ariz. during a high risk vehicle stop. Mazel was wanted
by the U.S. Marshals led Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team in
the Eastern District of Michigan for failure to appear. The
charges are based on a February 2013 arrest in Michigan for
receipt, distribution, and possession of child pornography.
15, 2014 - Yesterday evening, U.S. Marshals and
Kansas City Police apprehended double homicide suspect, Michael
Dwayne Leday. Leday is alleged to have killed Patrick Balbastro
and Cindy Burnett as well as critically injuring Balbastro’s
girlfriend with Balbastro's vehicle.
November 21, 2013 - 15 Most Wanted Capture -
Taylor was taken into custody by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force
Officers at an apartment complex in Phoenix, Arizona. Taylor was
wanted by the Phoenix Police Department on allegations of
attempted murder, aggravated assault, endangerment, assisting a
criminal street gang and a drive-by shooting.
20, 2013 - Dennis Marklin Foster was arrested
abroad after several months of running from law enforcement
officials as fugitive from justice. In 1985, Foster faced a
felony conviction of sexual contact with a minor and was
sentenced to a term in prison, in addition to sex offender
2013 - This morning, convicted sex offender Jereal
Lee Turner was arrested by Deputy U.S. Marshals and
investigators with the U.S. Marshals led Violent Offender Task
Force in Tucson.
10, 2013 - Thomas Ruben Velarde was returned back
to the United States and into the hands of awaiting Deputy U.S.
Marshals and detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department. Velarde was deported by Mexican law enforcement
officials through the Nogales Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona.
Velarde is a known street gang member and has been wanted for a
homicide that killed one man and wounded two others.
2013 - The 29th Annual Policia International
Sonora-Arizona Conference (PISA) will be held this week in
Tempe, Ariz. This annual international conference will reunite
law enforcement agencies from all jurisdictional levels in the
United States and Mexico. From June 5-7, attendees will gather
at the Marriott Phoenix Tempe at the Buttes to address various
law enforcement related issues plaguing both sides of our
2013 - Deputy U.S. Marshals extradited David Soto-Cecena
from the Republic of Mexico. He was booked into the Pima County
Jail pending his next court hearing. Soto-Cecena is wanted in
Pima County for the charge of continuous sexual abuse of a
child. In September 2010, a warrant was issued for the sex
offense after Soto-Cecena allegedly abused his child.
2013 - John Paul Anderson was arrested by the U.S.
Marshals Service-led Child Predator Apprehension Team in
Maricopa, AZ. Anderson was wanted by the Philadelphia Police
Department for failing to register as a sex offender.
Additionally, Anderson was considered to be one of
Pennsylvania’s “Most Wanted Megan’s Law Offenders”.
2013 - Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers
with the U.S. Marshals Service led Violent Offender Task Force
in Tucson, located and apprehended Juan Carlos Sanchez. Before
today, Sanchez was one of Colorado’s Top 100 Most Wanted Sex
2013 - Jesse Anthony Saenz was arrested by the U.S.
Marshals led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force in
Phoenix, AZ. Saenz was wanted by the Vernal City Police
Department in Utah for violating the conditions of his release.

- Yesterday afternoon, Troy Shawn Meyers was arrested by
Deputy U.S. Marshals in Phoenix. Meyers was wanted by the Lake
County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana for Murder.
March 22, 2013
- From March 19 through 21, the United States Marshals
Service in Arizona led Operation Southern Star II, a law
enforcement operation targeting fugitives with outstanding
felony warrants issued out of Graham and Cochise County in
Arizona. These warrants included offenses for violent crimes and
2013 - On January 8, 2013, the Clallam County Sheriff’s
Office in Port Angeles, WA, responded to an armed robbery.
Allegedly, Jennifer Marie Brady had lured an acquaintance to a
hotel room, where Brady’s accomplices robbed him of his
valuables and vehicle. Brady was arrested in the incident and
later released on bond, pending further court appearances. Brady
failed to appear as promised, however, and a warrant for her
arrest was subsequently issued.
2013 - The U.S. Marshals Service hosted a free training
seminar for their law enforcement partners. The training served
to educate and inform law enforcement officers on the use and
prevalence of Patron Saints in the drug underworld. Presented by
U.S. Marshal Robert Almonte from the Western District of Texas,
this seminar accommodated approximately 260 members of law
enforcement throughout the state of Arizona.
2012 - From December 11-13, 2012, the U.S. Marshals
Service in Arizona along with other State, Local and federal law
enforcement agencies conducted “Operation Grinch Stopper.” This
fugitive enforcement operation targeted those wanted for crimes
which historical increase during the holidays to include
robbery, burglary, theft, larceny and other related stolen

Pittsburgh homicide suspect, Jarrell Anthony Liddell,
was arrested yesterday in Tucson by members of the U.S. Marshals
led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force. Information was
developed by U.S. Marshals in the Western District of
Pennsylvania which revealed Liddell may have been residing in
Arizona using his brother’s identity. The information gathered
by authorities in Pittsburgh was immediately forwarded to the
U.S. Marshals in Tucson.
April 23, 2012
- From April 16-20, Phoenix valley law enforcement
partners collaborated on “Operation Justice IV”, a one week
round-up of wanted felons in honor of National Crime Victims’
Rights Week. Operation Justice netted valley law enforcement
partners 251 fugitives wanted throughout Maricopa and Pinal
Counties. In addition to arresting these fugitives, 16 weapons
were taken off the streets.
February 17, 2012
- U.S. Marshals Service personnel in Los
Angeles arrested Teddy Spaugy upon his arrival from Panama City,
Panama following his ordered expulsion. Spaugy was being sought
by the Arizona Department of Public Safety-Capitol Police
District and the U.S. Marshals led Arizona WANTED Violent
Offender Task Force pursuant to an active warrant on 10 counts
of sexual exploitation of a minor and dangerous crimes against

- Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the
U.S. Marshals led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force
arrested Robert Franz at a truck stop near 339th Ave and Van
Buren Rd in Buckeye. Franz was wanted by the Pampa, TX Police
Department for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
October 29, 2011
- Deputy U.S. Marshals coordinated the arrest and return of
Michael Jefferson, 28, from Los Alogodones, Baja California,
Mexico. Jefferson was subsequently arrested by American
authorities at the Calexico U.S. Port of Entry in California.
Jefferson was wanted by the Chandler Police Department after
having been charged with numerous crimes including, Illegal
Control of an Enterprise, Money Laundering, Fraudulent Schemes,
Taking the ID of Another and Trafficking the Identity of

will be holding an auction of numerous vehicles forfeited to the
United States Government. The auction will be held at Apple

June 16, 2011
- Yesterday afternoon, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force
Officers assigned to the Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task
Force arrested Terrence Cram at a residence in the area of Yuma
Rd and Sarival Ave in Goodyear. Cram was wanted by the Kentucky
State Police for Murder. It is alleged that in January 2011 Cram
used a blunt object, striking the 49 year old female victim in
the head, which resulted in her death.
February 08, 2011 - Early this
morning, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania captured Harry Hayman, 42, at a residence in Philadelphia. Hayman was wanted by the
Glendale Police Department for numerous charges including three (3) counts of Sexual Abuse, Six (6) counts of Indecent Exposure, three (3) counts of Public Sexual Indecency, and eight (8) counts of Assault.

- Members of the United States Marshals Violent Offender
Task Force captured Walter Furrh, 51, in Phoenix, AZ. Walter
Furrh was wanted by the Tucson Police Department for Robbery.
Furrh, whom authorities dubbed the “Manila Bandit”, is alleged
to have robbed numerous banks around the Tucson area from July
2010 to December 2010. Furrh was called the “Manila Bandit”
because it is alleged that he would present the teller a manila
envelope and demand that the money be placed in the envelope
during some of the robberies.

- Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to
the Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force captured Justin
Wasinger, 21, at a residence in Mesa, AZ. On October 31, 2010, a
warrant was issued by the Arapahoe County District Court for the
arrest of Justin Wasinger. Wasinger is wanted by the Glendale,
Colorado Police Department for First Degree Kidnapping, Assault
in the Second Degree, Robbery, False Imprisonment and

Kingman Escapees Task Force will prepare a daily briefing at
10:00 am PST to provide the latest information available. The
briefing for Thursday, August 12, 2010 is as follows: Task Force
officers continue to focus investigative efforts in western
Arkansas, western Montana, and in various other locations around
the United States. The last credible sighting of

Casslyn Welch have changed their appearance. McCluskey has black hair and a
black beard. Welch has dyed her hair blonde. Investigators are concentrating

- An escaped murderer from an Arizona prison was apprehended
this morning in Park County, Wyo. Tracy Province, 42, was arrested today at 6:20 a.m., in Meeteetse,
Wyo., by U.S. Marshals and the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s
Department after being observed walking through town.
August 08, 2010 -
information developed indicates the prison escapees and their accomplice may
be in the Yellowstone Park area.
John Charles McCluskey, age 45,
Tracy Province, age 42, and Daniel Renwick, age
35, escaped from the Arizona State Prison at Kingman on July 30, 2010. Casslyn Welch, age 43, is believed to have assisted
them in the escape. On August 1, 2010, Daniel Renwick was arrested in Rifle,
Colorado after a brief car chase and firing a weapon at a
pursuing police vehicle.
February 17, 2010
- This morning, a convicted child molester who fled his
residence in Scottsdale, was arrested in California. In August
2009, Wesley Bikoff, age 48, removed his ankle monitoring device
and left his residence in Scottsdale where he was required to
reside as a condition of his Maricopa County probation. Bikoff
was placed on probation after his conviction for sexual
exploitation of a minor.
January 17, 2010
- Early this morning, a convicted
child molester who left a men’s shelter in Mesa in August 2009
with three other sex offenders, was returned to the United
States after surrendering to authorities in Mexico. In August
2009, Randy Brown, along with Donald Temple, Matthew Ellsworth,
and Manual Dominguez left the East Valley Men’s Shelter in Mesa
where they were required to reside as a condition of their

December 23, 2009
- A Phoenix man sought for the
Parental Kidnapping of his nine year-old daughter was arrested
by members of the U.S. Marshals-led Child Predator Apprehension
Team (CPAT), and Detectives with the Tempe Police Department at
a residence in Phoenix. Earl Nelson, 35, was wanted by the
Schenectady (New York) Police Department after it was alleged
that Nelson traveled from Phoenix to New York, kidnapped his
nine year-old daughter from her mother, and returned to Phoenix.
December 17, 2009
- Last night, an escapee from
Tennessee and his wife were arrested by U.S. Marshals in east
Phoenix, AZ. Keith Lee Whitling, age 41, and his wife, Melissa
Jewel, age 37, were the targets of a drug investigation
conducted in Erwin, Tennessee. The couple was allegedly involved
in trading OxyContin for marijuana.

- From October 28-30, Federal,
State, and Local law enforcement agencies collaborated on
“Operation Safe Treat,” a three day fugitive operation targeting
non-compliant sex offenders and those wanted for various other
sex related offenses and crimes against children. Operation Safe
Treat netted law enforcement 6 arrests.
25, 2009 - The U.S. Marshals
Service, U.S. Department of State, Arizona Department of Public Safety
and the Phoenix Police Department, members of the Arizona WANTED Task
Force arrested Lazar Yousif Lazar as he re-entered the
United States . In March 2009 a warrant was issued by the Maricopa
County Superior Court for the arrest of Lazar after he failed to appear
for court proceedings related to the prior charges of First Degree
Murder, Assisting a Criminal Street Gang, Aggravated Assault, and

- Deputy U.S. Marshals and officials
from the DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Detention and
Removal Operations (ICE-DRO) located Humberto Lerma-Velazco in
Bullhead City, Arizona. He was apprehended in a coordinated
effort by Bullhead City Police. Humberto Lerma-Velazco, 51, was
wanted by authorities in Baja, California, Mexico in connection
with a murder that occurred there in October of 2005.
May 13, 2009
- Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task
Force Officers from the U.S. Marshals led-Child Predator
Apprehension Team (CPAT) arrested Christopher Lyons, 46, in the
area of Country Club and Juanita Ave in Mesa. Lyons was wanted
by the Arizona Department of Corrections for violating the
conditions of his parole, after having been convicted of failing
to register as a Sex Offender.
