Purpose: Drug interdiction within the Southern District of Alabama.

Task Force Name: HIDTA ( High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) Task Force
Purpose: Drug interdiction within Mobile and Baldwin Counties of Alabama.
Participants: Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Internal Revenue Service (IRS); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); Alabama Bureau of Investigation    (ABI); Baldwin County Sheriff's Department; Fairhope Police Department; Mobile Police Department and the University of South Alabama Police Department.

Task Force Name: Joint Terrorism Task Force
 
Purpose: Investigate any suspected terrorist activities in the Southern District of Alabama.
 
Participants: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); U.S. Secret Service; Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF); Department of Defense Criminal Investigative Division; and Mobile Police Department.

Purpose: Investigate violent crimes and arrest violent offenders in the Mobile County area.

Task Force Name: Project Safe Neighborhoods (Alabama ICE)
 
Purpose: Investigate firearms violations within the Southern District of Alabama.
 
Participants: Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF); Mobile Police Department; Escambia County, AL Sheriff's Department; Selma Police Department; Alabama 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office (Hale, Perry, Dallas and Wilcox Counties).
