District News:  May 07, 2013 - The Alaska U.S. Marshals Service participated in a nationwide initiative, Operation Guardian, to target the country’s most dangerous noncompliant sex offender fugitives. Within the past three years, Deputy U.S. Marshals worked with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to focus on fugitives wanted for violent sex crimes, emphasizing on those cases with a high level of dangerousness to the public.  Read More
